My buddy is a peronal trainer and he told me not to lift on an empty stomach because it will break down the muscle. He told me to eat some carbos beforehand (like an hour) I followed his advice and I felt as strong as Lee Haney pumping those weights....it WORKS!

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Yea you should eat some carbs before you workout, but not too much. You don't want to weigh yourself down too much. Something like a pretzel, something small.

Good advice. Ensure you are taking in more carbs and protein (whey) immediately after the workout too.

Yup. Make sure that they're complex carbs though since simple carbs will already be broken down by the time you workout.

make sure they have a low or moderate glycemic index. Anything too high will cause a surge of insulin which will make you sluggish.
