First post back in quite some time. Things are going much better for me but I seem to have stumbled into a situation that, for once, I'm really not sure how to play. I'll keep it as short and sweet as possible.
The girl in question has openly had a thing for me for almost a year now. Seeing as I had all my classes with this girl for the first semester of last year, I was able to win her over with my intelligence, humour and confidence. She knew that I knew she liked me.
I saw less of her the second semester but regularly heard that she still really liked me and I was interested in her as well, but never closed (I had my reasons back then, some of which I regret now, but either way, what's done is done).
The last time I saw her face to face we were both drinking and I came painfully close to getting the hook up I was after (she was maybe a little too tipsy and there were too many people around).
That was a couple months ago and we really hadn't crossed paths since, until today. I got good EC, smile, body language etc. from this girl (keep in mind, I AM interested now). I wasn't expecting to see her so I suppose I wasn't exactly on top of my game but I left the encounter feeling good.
Cut to the chase, I'm tired of treading delicately with this girl. Considering sources close to her have still said she's interested, I haven't blown my chances by waiting so long.
As it stands, I'm looking to just pull her aside and kiss her at the next opportunity (this weekend at a party would be ideal). Is there any reason to suggest that that's coming on too strong or could backfire?
Also, I'm looking to say something to her, however brief, in response to the fact that she's liked me for a while, I've known all along, but haven't actively pursued it until now, right before we kiss, so that she doesn't think I'm some jerk just looking for some play from the easy target girl-who-likes-me.
It's late, but I hope I've made myself clear. Pleeeeeease can I get some feedback on this? It's driving me crazy.
