Every time I approach I get rejected so bad. My friends never even bother coming with me when I approach ala set anymore. I only approach at clubs so my opener is usually along the lines of "do you ladies mind if me and my buddy come dance with you?"
In my experience, immediately asking to dance in a club isn't the best approach. It might be fine for a really good looking guy, but for most guys, it's not optimal. This is because women aren't stupid. In a club, "dance" means, "Wanna go dry hump?" lol.
I think it's best to open a brief conversation (off of the dance floor) first. If you are getting some positive feedback, then maybe suggest dancing. If you are getting bad feedback, such as one word answers, lack of eye contact, etc., then forget about asking them to dance.
Maybe something like this....
Mike: <Opener and fluff talk>
HB: blah blah blah
You: "So are you two good dancers?"
HBs: We're pretty good. My friend is a really GREAT dancer. She went to one Z u m b a class once, and I watch "Dancing with t h e S t ars" every week lol.
Mike: "Let's get out there and see what you got."
The other problem with your dance opener is the "Do you mind..." part. Don't get me wrong, I'll all for being polite. But club girls might not see it that way. To them, too much politeness can come across as weak. When you get to the point of suggesting dance, you don't ask them, you confidently suggest it like I did above.
For the make of my buddies I only approach the Asian girls but this tactic has not failed me on the white ladies.
More traditional Asian girls are a bit more shy. As I mentioned above, get a bit of conversation first before suggesting dancing.
More direct approaches can work on white women or highly westernized Asian women. As always, your mileage may vary.
But my game is lame and I usually psych my self out so I've never had any good closes. But seriously, why am I so bad?
I know nothing about you or your game except for your dance opener. So it's hard to say what the exact problem is.
Apparently I must make people look bad too because the joke about me is that if you tell people I'm coming they will suddenly be unable to make it.
Do you try too hard?
I'm too frustrated right now. Mostly over being rejected by Asian chicks all the time.
I see your dilemma. You are approaching Asian girls to accomodate your buddies, but you personally don't hit it off with them, at least intially. Are any of your buddies outgoing? Can one of them open the conversation instead? Then you can jump in.
One of my buddies is Asian. I'm white. When we used to go out, I would open the sets most of the time. But if girls were Asian, I would have him open. That seemed to work better because they naturally "clicked" better than if I opened. Then he'd introduce me and we would do ok.
But it isn't all bad. I always get lucky and get some attention but it's always the chick I don't talk to that pulls her friend away.
Yes, the chick you don't talk to CAN pull her friend away. You can't ignore her friends or make them feel left out.
Try to look at it from their perspective. If a chick or group of chicks approached you and your buddy and they ONLY talked to your buddy, how would you feel? Ok, as men, we wouldn't pull our buddy away and c*ckblock, but we might feel slighted.
It makes me look like a ****ing retard when that happens. Not to mention that feeling when your hopes are about to become reality but then everything changes. ****.
It's easy to get too excited when things seem to be going well, but that's not a good idea. I've had a chick talk and dance (grind but only her back side, red flag in retrospect) with me all night and then before closing time, she grabbed another dude's hand and say "Let's go." Until she's actually naked in your bed, don't get too excited.
Not entirely sure what the point of this whole post was because I changed it at prettymuch every sentence I wrote.
