Sounds bizarre I know.

A little history, I've for the longest time had medium length shaggy hair which suited me. Recently decided to go super short for summer.

Well the cut was a reminder why I leave it longer, just doesn't compliment me as well. Here's what's funny, instead of it lowering my sense of self it was more of a f*ck it I'm stuck till it grows out.

This gave me a super carefree don't give a sh*t attitude and I found myself approaching girls way more than usual.

I've been opening with "hey like my new haircut?" Of course to these girls who've never laid eyes on me they hadn't a clue what I looked like before.

So I'd whip out my phone and show them an older pic and get opinions then close with "btw I hate doing things twice and since I'd most likely take my phone out again to save your number might as well give it to me now" said with a sly smile. Low and behold its worked three times. I figure they're sensing my complete indifference.

Just a funny phenomenon I wanted to share.

Growing up, sometimes I'd get stuck driving a total ugly piece of $hit truck, it was bad, to this day I don't think I've seen an uglier one on the road. So, I had no choice but to sport it. Over do it a little bit, girls would say:

Her: "is that your truck?"
Me: "yeah, think I'm going to bring it to prom, you want to go?"

Or I'd pull into the local hangout, McDonalds parking lot or somewhere, everyone would be outside and I'd make sure to honk the horn a bunch of times so everyone would see me driving it. People would laugh and come over, it would be a conversation piece.. I'd always boast about it. And say things like how I hope I can keep this thing running for as long as possible, and call it my baby. One time it broke down so about six of us pushed it through the drive threw with me in the driver seat. And, of course, when we got to the window, I acted like nothing out of the ordinary was going on.

Miss that truck :(

Old trucks are cool.

I've had my share of bad haircuts, but I don't recall ever gaining confidence from them. My usual attitude is "oh well, it'll grow back and then I'll get a better one". I definitely don't sweat it. I usually stay pretty indifferent about it, it's not like I'm a supermodel or anything.
