Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

Ive recently noticed how theres bad advice everywhere, women give men bad advice, many magazines give the baddest advice ive seen, articles about relationships on websites like MSN also have issues like that.

I was talking to a female friend about one relationship iam handling rightnow and she told me that the best thing i could do is call my girl alot during the day, just to see how she was doing...
I used to have alot of respect for this girl's advice because she really gave me some very good advice on what a women likes on sex. But now whenever she gives her opinion on stuff iam gonna listen but think about it twice.

IVe also been reading my roomate's Maxim magazine, and iam getting sick and tired to read these smart-ass articles that tend to make it seem as if the writer is all tough and cool and that readers are lossers, wimps, etc. Besides most of the advice there is terrible, stupid and AFC.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Funny thing, man - I am dating a girl now who is genuine and confident enough that all this push-pull stuff doesn't work on her. Not calling her makes her think you don't care and it doesn't make her want you more. It just makes her sad.

So...you know...different people are different.

But yeah - you're right. My opinion though - in most healthy LTRs, a good line of communication is always helpful. Nobody wants to be smothered, but most people want to be loved by the person they are loving. It's kinda AFCish, but you know - I've always been a firm believer that as long as you do something because you truly WANT to do it (not because you're trying to earn favour), you'll come out on top. If you carry yourself in a confident, strong, decisive way, people will build up that image of you. And once they've done that, you could call a girl once an hour and it wouldn't drive her away. It's just a matter of your frame.

I know this doesn't really have much to do with your post, but - you know...I do what I want. ;)

i know what youre trying to say vibe, i have to say i agree and disagree, in most realationships ive had the current gf i had used to say she loved when i called her and that she wanted me to do it more often cause i dont do it, and she would always call me atleast 8 times a day, always asking me if it bothered me for her to call me that often. But all of that only tends to happen in the begging of LTR's mainly after she says the L word for the first time. And it only lasts for a while, women like their boyfriend to call them constantly but after a while they will get sick of that... it has to happen. It is even healthy for the relationship not to be calling that often.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

its healthy to live a balanced life.

if you are 14.
its prolly healthy to play sports rather than call women.

if you are 24..it may be more healthy for you to have your women the biggest figure in ur life.

whatever makes u happy...

understand that most of the guys here..not all some..maybe most.

have had LTRs where they got hurt bad..

and now dont understand wats its like to be in real love or be in a healthy LTR.

ive been in one for 5 months...in the last few weeks ive been abel to look at it more objectively and I can tell you that if u are in love she will be the most important thing to you.

if you dont want a women to be important then dont bother with a ltr

funny enough, my EX used to give me excellent advice on how to pick up other women...

We used to go out, and there would be another girl there that was looking at me, and she would say "she is only looking at you because I am here... see, that's how girls think, girls are scandelous"

She has a cousin that is too cute.. she is from CA, and one day she came to town to visit her (i.e us)

So she goes to her mom's house across town, and when my EX goes to work, she comes back over... And is being very flirtatious with me...

So I mention it to my GF, I mean, after all, I'm not dumb, could ahve been a test, so she says "I wouldn't put it past her.. girls are snicky like that, blah blah blah... she just wants you because I have you and she knows I look better than she does:

One day, my friend, who I am currently somewhat seeing, ,came over my house...

Now, Amber (my EX) doesn't like my friend... one bit... And my friend really does try to be nice to her (and talks **** behind her back, I don't say anyhting to my ex about it becasue if she ever saw her she would stomp a mudhole in her)...

So Amber comes from from I guess her mom's house ,and sees my friend in the door... So at first she tries to play it cool... Now I know my EX and I can tell she is clearly aggiated, and at the time my dad was at my house, and it was my friend, my dad and I watching a movie...

So, about 10 minutes later, she just blurts into the room and says "Damn, you sure have been over here alot lately haven' tyou" So my friends face, gets RED and tries to play it off... She had been "in the neigborhood" alot around that time... She then says "The only reason you are over here now is because he has a Girlfriend... before he had a GF he couldn't pay you to come over here"...

At this po int my dad and I are crying laughing...

After laughing, I think tell Amber (my ex) to go in my bedroom and shut up and I made her apologize for being rude, but it was funny as hell as it happens...

From then on, I coudln't pay my friend to come over my house as long as she was there...
