"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Hi --

So based on some previous posts I created here in the last 2 months, you'll find that I've got out of a 2 yr relationship. While I have been looking for someone else, I have been very happy with myself recently.

So... My buddy hooks me up on a blind date. I said what the heck lets give it a shot. Well -- I met her last night and she seems like a nice girl and very cute. I got a few good signs from her like her asking me to take a sip of her drink (is that even a good sign?). Anyway, considering I've been out of the game for so long, I need some advice on how to handle a new girl after not dating for a good while. Links? Threads? any quick great tips would be great.

Thnx.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Brush up on the DJ bible and browse the forum. I don't mean to be patronizing, but if you feel lost in the game, you should take it and yourself seriously and invest some time in getting up to par again by reading through insightful, supportive and stimulating material. And practice of course. Think of this "first" date as re-orienting yourself.

As for quick tips, I think the only one I feel I can offer you right now is to proceed without being attached to a positive outcome (meaning: getting her). Nothing kills attraction as fast as wanting something from someone and having it written all over your face and body. Neediness, in other words.

Be detached. Centered in your universe. She can come in and admire the furniture. That's what it ultimately means to be yourself.

If you lose her, then it's not meant to be. Simple as that.

Good luck!

I once screwed up the "take a sip" IOI - and she was ridiculously hot too. I rationalized the encounter later and was happy I was even talking to her for as long as I was without saying something really stupid, stuttering, or being really needy.

It wasn't obvious to me at the time, but simply put, why would a girl who doesn't like a guy have his mouth on her drink? She wouldn't.

This time around, take your time and not settle with a girl until have dated multiple girls and she is the best pick of the litter. Even when you are in a relationship down the line, make sure you still brush up on your dj skills.
