You can skip the expensive cars, the fancy clothes, and the endless gym selfies. Completely unnecessary.

I used to freeze the second a beautiful woman looked my way. Frustrated. Awkward. Watching other guys walk away with the girl while I stood there tongue-tied.

Then I discovered 22 simple rules that rewired my entire dating life. The anxiety vanished. Conversations flowed effortlessly. Women started chasing me for a change.

Met her volunteering at the local community centre and hit it off well. Most times it's just been simply flirting and teasing. The other day though our flirting and teasing bought up the topic of us going on a date. I said I looked good in glasses first time she saw me in them and I told her I only wear them on special occasions and she'd have to take me out to see more (teasingly).

Throughout the night we got on as usual but she unusually bought it up more that we should hang out together. She even bought up how we had to definately go out on a date now (her words not mine as I dropped the topic and could not have cared) after finding out more mutual interests between us. Yet here is the curve ball - in that same conversation, she started it by saying how we are going to be the best of friends and THEN saying that we should definately go out. Towards the end of the night she was calling me buddy at times.

The shift ended it as usual. Me walking her to her car, her interrogating when she'd next see me but only relating it to our shifts before giving me a big embrace, dropping her things and asking why I always make her clumsy etc.

Anyone can make any sense of this?

What's so confusing man? This girl is interested in you. Do you want her to ask YOU out?

Stop being weird and ask her out before she starts thinking your a huge homo and nexts you.

Good advice from PairPlusRoyalFlush and Splacker.

"Keep it simple stupid". Ask her out and physically escalate.....youll find out whether she likes you as more than a "buddy" then.

Cheers guys. Well I won't be seeing her for a week or so due to surgery and exams so should I wait til I see her next shift to take a punt? I have her number but I don't/ rarely text her and it seems to do the job because whenever she sees me, she lights up (as opposed to girls whom I continually text). This push and pull has been going at it for good year now with the last few months intensifying after she became single and went through rebounds; just not me although I almost hooked up with her at a party but pulled away last minute.

I guess when I hear myself being called buddy or friend, it's my kryptonite and I seem to lose all sense of control with myself and everything I've learnt on here. Some hard lessons learnt back in the days for me.

It's been going on a year? Sounds like friend zone to me. Why not give it a shot though and invite her out to drinks. If she gives you the runaround then she definitely sees you only as a friend. Girls that are interested won't confuse you.

Cheers man, that's my gut thought. Yeah it's the case partly why I didn't ask her out because she was in a relationship til a month or so ago so I didn't take much account of her.

No worries it happens to all of us. Go ahead and ask her out though. She probably sees you in a new light now that the bf isn't in the equation. You have nothing to lose man.
