Attempted Gym Pickup...

Just got back from the gym, when I got there I saw this sexy young girl on the treadmill. I got on the treadmill and said "So, is your workout going good" so she would acknowledge me
and she said yeah and I just ran on the treadmill a while (no I didn't wuss out, but I can't hold a convo when I'm on the treadmill)

A bit later she was on the leg press and I said "come on you can do atleast 100, you have to do atleast that to impress me" and she goes "well, i'll try 25" and put it up a bit. I asked if it was her first time here and she said she come ages ago with school and has some equipment at home, but is gonna start coming to the gym now. Talked a bit, asked her if she wanted to grow huge muscles and walk around like this (mimiked a huge bodybuilder with his arms sticking way out, if you know what I mean)

I did some chinups and went on the stepper and after that she was stretching on a mat, and we were the only 2 there .. I noticed she was really flexible so said "Wow, your pretty
flexible" and she said she used to do gymnastics but it was too girly and I said "Well you should take up boxing".

She said "Well, im just starting trying to get fit because.... (useless info) I then said "How old are you?" (to make sure she is over 16) she looked a bit confused, I guess it was an unexpected question and said she was 17.

I asked if she behaved herself at school or is she a bad girl, she said "yeah because im doing VCE (that is senior years for non australians), you can fool around all the other years, but then you have to get serious"

Then someone come to the door and she said "oh, looks like i'm going, i'm bridie" I said "I'm Ben" and shook her hand then I said "Hey, wanna get together sometime" she said "maybe,
i'll see you in here another time", since I've missed so many opportunities by thinking "oh ill just see her again and get her number" with other girls and never seen them again I said
"Well, can I get your number, Incase I don't see you again" and she said "Well I probably will be in here again".

I realized it was probably just a nice rejection so... If I see her again i'll find out, otherwise there's plenty more.

What is your opinions, you guys reckon it was just a friendly rejection too?

Well.. I'm glad I actually went for the number. I'm just getting back into the swing of things again, I was kicking ass for a while but had a major setback (don't wanna talk about it) I may have setbacks but I will never give up, if I was a quitter then I wouldn't be where I am now in life...

It seems like you just followed the girl around the fittness complex the whole time... when you approach in a situation like that try and wait till she is doing a cool down [streaching] or taking a break for water. Don't try and inturrupt her workout, because while your exercising and the blood is pumping you usually don't want to stop, even if the person talkin is extremely sexy.

Yeah, you've got a good point there, I did wait until she was resting between sets to talk to her, didn't mention that.

though you should know that her IL prolly isnt that high if she didnt stop what she was doin to give u her number, but to confuse you even more, could she be playin hard to get?

haha, nah, I pay for my gym membership to workout hard and sometimes if I have the chance and I see a good chick I go talk to her if she's stretching or something.

That day was my rest day from weights so I wasn't doing much only really a bit of cardio, and we were basically the only ones there
