Attacking Trump Supporters Should Be Hate Crime

I feel like all the liberals are joining under this one big umbrella and follow whatever the left-wing politics are telling them. So then everything that's not them falls under the far-right right-wing nutjobs. Against abortion? You must be a racist right-wing conservative *******. What if I am against abortion but pro gays?

Seeing the Facebook tweets during the election night, the liberals were complaining that the reason Hillary was losing because Americans are sexist and racist. Trump voters are immediately sexists and racists. This liberal logic makes me sick of them. They can't think for themselves and just follow what their friends and media telling them. They championed themselves as the party of the poor and middle class, forgetting that Hillary is crooked and rich, and basically the entire Silicon Valley billionaires are democrats .

Spot on, yet this is nothing new compared to past elections. Trump simply provides a very easy target.

Hey brother, how you doing? After a month long hiatus myself I've decided to drop by. Don't know how long I'll be staying, but I'm having a boring Saturday night in.

Not only did I vote for Donald Trump, I OPENLY supported him. I wore t-shirts, including ones that had the phrase "The Deplorables", and one of Trump riding in on a tank with fireworks and a bald eagle in his trail. I told my friends and family to get out the vote, and convinced a few of them. I voted for him over her for all the obvious reasons - national security, for the redemption of the middle class, and as a middle finger to the mainstream media AND political correctness.

What I found most striking is that just by virtue of my Trump vote, the average millennial would probably lump me into a new political demographic called the "alt-right", who are becoming the arch-nemesis of the SJW and have been branded the following: racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, and "Islamophobic". It has been called a far-right group that is right wing politics on steroids and is synonymous with fascism, Neo-Nazism and "white supremacy". This is an utterly idiotic and shameful assertion. Because most ironically, I am a liberal who believes the following:

1. The war on drugs should be abolished immediately and we should pass recreational marijuana at the federal level yesterday.
2. The federal minimum wage should be raised to $10 an hour, and at least 1/3 of the states in the union could stand to raise it to $12.
3. The wars have caused far more harm than good and our boys should be brought home immediately.
4. Gays have the right to be married (although this basic right is very different than the militant gay agenda)
5. Minorities are 100% equal to whites and should be held to the same standards of PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY. In other words, they are INDIVIDUALS, NOT victims.
6. There should be SOME restrictions on guns, and America's gun obsession is a world outlier.

I could go on, but do these sound like radical right wing, neo-Nazi ideologies? Of course not. But because of the left the DEFINITIONS of words (racism, rape) and concepts has changed. I am simultaneously a liberal but a radical Neo-Nazi because:

1. I do not believe racism is a major problem in America anymore.
2. Women are doing JUST FINE (or far better than men, actually)
3. Gays have it better here than in 90% of the world (including the entire Islamic world)
4. Radical Islamic terrorism is a far greater threat to world peace than "Islamophobia"
5. ILLEGAL, CRIMINAL aliens should be punished for crimes, just like anyone else.

These are perfectly reasonable, centrist positions that apparently put me into a "basket of deplorables". So you're DAMN RIGHT I voted for Trump and will CONTINUE to vote Republican until the far left comes back down to earth. Not only because he challenges these ABSURD connotations that the left has legitimized, but also because Hillary Clinton is the most corrupt candidate in American history.

The far left is significantly more dangerous to freedom than the far right in the 21st century west. I hate the way they stifle speech on college campuses and at work. I hate the way they protest - always violently. I hate the way they go after you personally. I hate the way they debate, always going straight to an "ist" word when they lose the argument. I hate the way they virtue signal open-border tolerance for people who would slit their throats (undercover Jihadists and Mexican drug lords). So I as a centrist who leans liberal on almost all social issues is DONE with the out of control, radical left and the Democratic party.

I consider myself to be more Libertarian the Republican, I'm fiscally conservative but pretty socially liberal. I draw the line at transgendered people using whatever bathroom they want and have severely mixed feelings about abortion and the death penalty though.

Agreed 100%. I'm fiscally conservative (with some exceptions like the minimum wage. You have to keep up with inflation to avoid out of control cronies capitalism. It's the only checks and balances we have to keep corporate greed under some control.) And I'm very social liberal. But just because I support gay marriage doesn't mean I don't see the vile and militant propaganda campaign to shove homosexuality and transgenderism down our heterosexual throats. And it doesn't mean I support late term abortion or a ridiculous $15 minimum wage (I support $10 federally and $12 in larger markets )

This is my first time voting Republican after going blue in 2004, 2008, 2012. So I'm hardly a "neo-Nazi" by voting for Kerry and Obama twice.

But in these 8 years the far left has been emboldened to they point THEY are "the establishment" everyone hates so much. Radical leftism IS the status quo.

The only fear I have about Trump presidency is that the real KKK members now have the courage to speak and act out.

This really isn't anything to worry about. The KKK has diminished to approximately 3,000-5,000 members across the entire country, according to Wikipedia (which has a left wing bias, and would surely fabricate this number if it could.) That's 60-100 members per state on average, and they are essentially nonviolent at this point. To give some perspective, the National of Islam is 10x the size with 50,000 members, and I'm not too worried about them.

There hasn't been a documented lynching from the KKK in 35 years. The left DUG THEM out of OBSCURITY in this election because they want racism and bigotry, some because it's lucrative (the higher ups in the grievance industry) and others because it's an easy out to explain away your own failures. Racism is no longer a major problem in this country - the left just won't let it go.

Yeah, I mean really, is there anyone out there who actually takes the KKK seriously? They are a fringe group at best, and their views are ridiculed and held in contempt by practically the entire country.

To me, the "rogue cops" issue is very similar. There are always going to be extremists and haters out there, you'll never get rid of them entirely. But I have to watch people disrespect the flag and not stand for the national anthem because a few cops are dirtbags? The country doesn't support them. People of all colors are murdered every day, for all kinds of reasons. No one wants it to happen. Believe me, if we could think of a way to stop it, we would. But unfortunately as long as there are people there are going to be dirtbags.

I often think of you when I write on these topics here, because you probably disagree with 75% of the bullet points in that post where I explain my liberal positions. Hell I'm a liberal atheist and you're a conservative Christian, and yet we always see eye to eye BECAUSE...

Menial issues like the minimum wage or gay marriage cannot be openly debated IF WE HAVE NO BORDERS OR COUNTRY. This is what I give up trying to explain to leftists to the point that I have actually switched brands for now. These radicals are so obsessed with "tolerance" and "multiculturalism" that they pander to people who want to destroy democracy. They attack Christians who are predominantly white, but give a free pass to Muslims (predominantly brown) who are a far greater threat to civilization. Then by supporting sanctuary cities, they literally are advocating anarchy by giving non citizens cover from the law. And by allowing 50 year old crossdressers into the ladies room, they enable pedophilia while decrying "rape culture". WTF!?

These liberals are people who would agree with me on civil liberties, the legalization of drugs, the minimum wage and most other social issues. But their behavior and how far they have taken these issues is reprehensible as far as stifling speech on college campuses (the HOME of free speech), and going straight onto cheap "ist" buzz words that mean nothing really diminishes the liberal/libertarian cause. See in a DEMOCRACY we allow for both sides because we're not SAVAGES, but their tactics literally make debate impossible. As it stands right now, it's the right that is the civilized demographic open to debate. The difference can be seen in how the Tea Party behaved vs how Occupy Wall Street or Black Lives Matter behaves. No matter who I agree with on the issues, I stand with the side that protects speech first and foremost, even if it's the side I disagree with when it comes to the words being spoken.

I can only really disagree with #2, and I'm not a economic guru anyway. I may not support gay marriage, but I can't disagree with their rights. I agree with #1, #3 and #5 totally. I support gun rights only because I don't know how slippery that slope would get.

Agree 1000%. All they want to do is scream and call names, while the rest of us are quite open to conversation. i can't understand how they can rage on a family bakery who won't bake a gay wedding cake, yet there's a group called Queers for Palestine. It's like they don't have the balls to demonize Islam's treatment of women and homosexuals. Even after the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando, which really made me think we'd finally have some gay people on our side, they still demonized white male conservatives. It literally blows my mind. Islam gets a pass and I don't get it.
