"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Hey. I'm from Australia and our formal (I believe the US call it the Prom) is in November. There is the girl that I like and I have been planning to ask her for some time now. I was originally going to ask her sometime August, September maybe but it seems a bit late. My friend just asked her, but she said, no, "I'm waiting for someone else to ask me". According to friends she is waiting for me to ask her. But I'm not certain.
Anyway, I'm hopefully going to ask her this wednesday before school.
On Tuesday I'll ask one of her friends to make sure she is sitting someone I know (eg. Bench under tree or something), so I don't have to looking for her. Earlier that morning on the way to school, I'll buy some roses from the local flourist (how many is good?) I'll write on the card, "Will you go to the formal with me?" Then give it to her that morning, and wait for the response.

Is there anything wrong with that? Like, should I actually say it rather than writing it on the card. I'm really in the dark on this subject as I have never seen anyone been asked before. Anyhelp would be great thanks. ;)

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

hehe, i have it easy, my prom, no one outside school is allowed to go and my gf invited me to hers.

Best method is probably not to discuss it with her friends, but to get your ass on the phone to her, or in person as quickly as possible and to ask her. Go looking for her, makes it show you have put an effort. You could try a flower, but it tends to make you come off as desperate and needy, if you think you can make it romantic, then give it to her. You need to actually ask her, and wait for the answer. If you give a card, you might not get a response soon, you need to ask her in person and get a reply in person.

Say something like

Yo. You. I. Prom. Be ready by 7.

Don't be all super nervous/stern. Have a playful tone.

Haha please do it. It'd make everyones day.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Some people get REALLY into the whole asking their prom dates out thing.

Myself on the other hand, i just walked in, and hugged her.

Her: What was that for?
Me: Shhhh don't worry about it.

Some chick accross the table was trying to sell tux rentals and was like "Hey, DJOD! Who are you going to prom with?"

I just pointed at the girl I had hugged and go "How about this one?"

She was thrilled.

I'll pass on that.

Well. In our school. People seem to go all out. It seems to be part of the fun of asking to the formal.
Just some things from the past that guys have tried out:
  • Singing "I love you baby" (ten things I hate about you style) at a choir concert
  • Asking on the loudspeaker at a swimming carnival at a stadium
  • Making a poem and reading it at an all grade chapel
  • A guy this year at camp put balloons all over his shirt. Then asked his date to come on the stage and pop them. On the shirt it revealed, "Will you go to the formal with me?"
  • A lot of people just sing a song at chapel or something.
  • Seems to be a lot of roses. When my older sister got asked he gave her a bouque of roses. They have now been going out for 2 years.

So thats just some background on how we do it at my school in Australia.

Say something like

Yo. You. I. Prom. Be ready by 7.

Sorry but thats an awful idea. If did it like that. She might say yes. But still. She wouldn't be impressed. Girls at my school seem to go for the real romantic stuff.
So. I should say it? Ok. I'll do that. Should I write anything on the card that comes with the flowers?
How many roses is good? 1 seems to few. 12 seems to desperate. How does 6 sound?
Oh and it will be in person. I'll give the flowers then wait for the response. I wouldnt just walk off, because that would give her time to think of an answer.

Remember to compliment her on (what are those called again?) while you dance to 80's garbage....

“The 22 Rules That Turned Me From Invisible to Irresistible With Women… Starting Tonight”

You can skip the expensive cars, the fancy clothes, and the endless gym selfies. Completely unnecessary.

I used to freeze the second a beautiful woman looked my way. Frustrated. Awkward. Watching other guys walk away with the girl while I stood there tongue-tied.

Then I discovered 22 simple rules that rewired my entire dating life. The anxiety vanished. Conversations flowed effortlessly. Women started chasing me for a change.

These rules trigger a woman's subconscious attraction switches. And you can start using them tonight.

You should just do it, but don't say"yo.you.I. Prom..." You would sound a little like a caveman " You. I. Cave. NOW. Ungapunga.":p

It does make girl's days when they are invited. And do it when you want to, not when her friends say to. But don't put it off.

Well, if big, bold gestures like that is how it is done at your school, why dont you do a big bold gesture. Like writing it in weed killer on the school fields, doing it through the schools announcement system, hanging a flag out of windows at the school or over her house before she comes home.

Go for something big and bold.

Personally i think thats tacky, but if you think that it is real romantic, then by all means invite her. If you are going to follow the dictates of your school, try and outdo them. Try to do it in a way that is related to her, if shes a punk chick, graffiti it on a wall for her.

Roses are just pathetic as a romantic statement, they are so cliched. Roses are good and fun, but it just looks so AFC (so undifferent) if you give a card with roses. Whatever you do, make it an asking, an obvious gesture, go out on a limb (if thats romantic :p). Do not write a card asking her to go to prom, thats as bad as dumping by text. Its pathetic. If your still going to give her the roses, then ask her yourself. NO CARD. Or forgo the roses and buy lots of really cheap colourful flowers and spell it out on her front lawn before she comes home.

I'M NOT WRITING IT ON A CARD!
I said that already. I'm giving the roses then asking verbally with my mouth.
I'm giving roses because when my sister was in grade 12. She came home and told me about all these guys that gave roses and asked, and saying how "sweet" it was.

I dunno. I just thought roses would be good.
The weedkiller and flowers on the lawn might work. But its a bit too bold. I gave those examples to show what people in my school do. Not just a simple "you. me. formal." Kinda thing.

I like my flowers on the lawn the best, since its sweet and does not involve any permanent damage. Plus she can always take a picture of it, for all eternity and its not so public as at school. You could spell it out with long stemmed roses.

You dont even need to do it with flowers, you could do it with her favourite sweets or something. One word of warning, this might come over a little nice guy, but if you have enough game then it shouldwork.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
