Asking about ex-bf's

What's everyone's take on asking about ex-boyfriends, especially recent ones? I've never really been one to ask details about ex's (or really care all that much), but have been burned a couple of times when I realized the girls weren't over their ex after already starting to date them. In one case, the girl got back together with her ex abruptly 3 months after we started dating.

Obviously, some girls talk a lot about their ex's, which to me is a red flag. But what about the girls that don't volunteer any of the details?

Lol...of course not. I mean being able to read between the lines with regard to things such as what was the reason for the breakup, do they still talk regularly, as well as probably the most important thing...HOW does she sound when she talks about it. Angry, sad, happy, indifferent, etc.

99% of the time, when there is still an issue, the girls will volunteer this info early on.

You ran into the other 1%. I swear finding a girl who doesn't talk about their ex and still has attachment issues is like finding a girl who doesn't like to gossip. It's VERY unlikely.
