So i asked this girl out and she said yes. I closed with her number and a hug.
We texted a little, but I tried to keep the conversation short. Next day in class, she doesn't seem as interested and talkative to me as the day before. So i just let it slide. Then today i texted her and she replied with a couple sentences of how she got back with her ex and can't go on a date with me anymore.

Someone explain? wtf did she only do this because she did not want to straight up reject me? And how do i deal with a girl if her interest level suddenly drops like that.
