Men today are more lost than they let on. But the answer is not Marlboro Man. We all must recover a vision of the relational man.

This is where Honor comes in, because it really depends if your seeking to barter with other men or be outright enabled by them, I probably know an equal amount of men on each side, the ones who don't want to help themselves and be enabled always end up alone anyways and the honorable men will end up alone if surrounded by those seeking to be enabled, the difference is the honorable man strives to recognize the weakness of character and disassociate with those men as quickly as possible where as men who seek to be enabled will always drag things out until the bridge is totally burnt.

But Honor always turns into bartering until somebody seeks an unfair or advantageous deal, then conflict arises, sometimes the conflict is resolved, sometimes not and you end up alone anyways.

Most men end up alone even when they try not to be it seems, but a man without conflict resolution skills is destined to be alone, that much I know to be factual.
