You texted a girl on Sunday night to confirm a date with you on Friday night because she flirted with you a little? Come on bro, it's like you got NOTHING to do except date her.

Just text her Wednesday to confirm. If she does, great. If not, move on.

Yes, it's common courtesy to respond. You did try to confirm too far ahead of time, but not responding is disrespectful. If she never gets back to you then I would suggest not going. No need to let her know you're not going either, if she can't get back to you then it's none of her concern. If this happens and she complains you didn't pick her up, tough sh*t. "Oh shoot, you never got back to me so I didn't think you were in. I made other plans"

But if you're desperate for some action, then by all means text her again later in the week or whatever. I personally would rather fap than supplicate.
