I’m wondering how many posters are veterans, peacetime or combat. Regardless of country. If combat, please mention theatre, if so inclined.

Desert Storm, Armor.

I served on every continent with the British army. I’ve won many, many medals.

I don’t like taking about it. Many men fought alongside me and didn’t make it home.

I’ve tried to seek therapy for the PTSD but according to the health service, Battlefield 1 is “not a valid qualifier for the treatment pathway”
Hi Fruitbat,
Yeah the Brits treat their Servicemen like Shvit, and they are as good as any in the World....I became related to an American Korean War Veteran,Poor Old Bvugger got Parkinsons, the US used to Fly him once a month from Woolongong NSW,to Hawai for Hospital treatment, very impressive.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

The poll is meant to discriminate between those who saw combat and those who did not. To me, being in a FOB qualifies as combat, even if you were a cook, aka Fobbit. Were you in harm's way—a drone driver in a refrigerated van in Arizona—dropping GBUs is not a combat vet.

I didn't just see combat.
I only got scars, no medals.
Not all combat is war.
And nowadays, most wars don't see combat. Just drone fights.
This is an interesting response, the only thing that comes to mind is it’s the result of thinking that there’s a subtext that says one thing is more valuable than the other.

This thread is not meant to be exclusionary in any way, it is an informal social science exercise I’m conducting to understand the military background of the few folks on the board who’ve served, commonality in their thought processes and world view.

I don’t mean to leave any members out of the thread, but it is limited to those who served in the military. In peacetime or in a military conflict theatre where they were subject to the effects of military combat.
