Are women becoming unbearably leftist/radical?

Something I've noticed in the real and online dating world.

It's astounding how many of them I come across that are STILL glazed over Obamanauts (mind you I'm not a republican, but I don't like radicals on either end) every profile I come across is littered with NPR, "must read the New York times", Green, Vegetarian/Vegan, Hybrid, Progressive, hate football, liberal arts, I DON'T ACCEPT INTOLERANCE TOWARDS GAYS!.

They are so militant that even a mere funny quip about someone on the left (I had one snap at me because I made a funny joke about Michelle Obamas prognathous jaw) is grounds for castration.

I know they've always been to the left of men, but when did it get to the point that they went completely ballistic like this?

It's not to the point where I'm even looking to marry one of 'em, it's that these women aren't even FUN anymore

I'm not sure when it happened. Now it is such a given that women are left-leaning that I don't even think about it anymore. Asking if she's a Democrat is like asking if she has a vagina lol.

Women have always been left-leaning. The only recent change is that more women than ever are adopting (what used to be) radical feminism. They speak of "slut-shaming" as if it's an actual social issue and "rape culture" as if it is distinct from the violence-obsessed culture we have in America. These ideas were mostly unheard of and considered "fringe" only ten years ago.

Contrary to what you say, I've definitely noticed an increase in the number of women who openly enjoy and possess the ability to intelligently discuss football.

Not "all" women are as you say. Just gotta participate in other avenues of life to find different avenue'd people.

This is why you need to avoid meeting bishes who live in hipster neighborhoods. Look for chicks in suburbs or yuppie neighborhoods. You're better off meeting white-collar types. I know career-oriented women get bashed on SoSuave a lot, but their political views tend to be tempered because they actually deal with real stress and have actual jobs, and (surprisingly) they tend to be less pretentious than their more Bohemian sisters.

Then again, if all you're looking to do is lay down some pipe, who cares? There's a somewhat perverse satisfaction in pumping and dumping hyper-leftist/feminist chicks after all.

Most people I know don't really care if someone is gay or not, but you're right, women seem to want to make a show of it. Also, a woman I know told me the other day that she wished she had a (male) gay friend. Not sure why.

I don't find that too many women are that interested in politics, they just want their entitlements and pro-female advantages.

Well said. I have no problem with gay people. I'm a live and let live kind of guy. But a woman INSISTING on having or finding a gay friend is ridiculous. Friendships should be natural. Two people click, and that's it. The guy is a human being, not a fashion accessory or the latest cell phone to show off to your friends. If you click, fine. But don't go hunting for a certain type of friend like it's a status symbol. That's silly.

Women often, though of course not always, follow the trend. Follow what's cool. Follow what's new. Follow what's smart. Follow what's next.

Contemporary "Liberalism" which is really just corporate, centrist-right, third way giveaways for big business with a tepid progressive social agenda attached is what's hot and what's next. It's where the momentum is. It's sexy. And, to be honest, it's smart. The Republican party and conservatism in general is bereft of ideas and new policies outside of tax cuts and being aggressively Christian and White. Something that it even admits in honest moments. I suspect it will peter out once the younger, racially mixed, less religious generation comes into it's own to be replaced possibly by libertarianism but likely by the Democratic Party while a new Social Democracy part forms on the left.

As someone who is a Democrat nationally but votes a split ticket locally (Philadelphia is 99% Democrat and the Republicans around here are far saner than those in, say, Texas and a good check on Democrats) I really hope the Republican Party or Libertarians get their stuff together. I want real competition.

Women make natural leftists for several reasons and regardless of ideology, their political views tend to be naive, uninformed and superficially self-absorbed. I learned long ago never to discuss politics with women until knowing them a good long time, and then hardly ever. I find men have a 1:5 chance of having a rationally based political POV whether it agrees with mine or not. Maybe 1:50 women. Same thing with musical taste. Most women get their music and politics from formative BFs or family, almost never self-actualized IME.
