Are single women using a sperm donor the same as a man using a prostitute?

And it got me thinking. What is the difference between this woman getting the sperm of a man of high enough value by paying for it (as opposed to trying to meet and convince the man to marry her) and a man hiring a prostitute because he can't pick up a sexy enough woman?

Women want to have children and men want to have sex. Fortunately, the two instincts intersect, so long as the couple can find and be satisfied with each other. The lure of money pushes women to become prostitutes and men to become sperm donors, which solves the problem of access for folks too low on the attractiveness ladder.

Of course, there are some women who like a lot of sex with different men, and there are men who like to think that their progeny will be walking around the world, so for these folks, it is an easy choice. I myself would like to be a sperm donor, but am far too short.

I'd agree they are the same because it's about control on both parts. Guys who get hookers pretty much want the best of a woman without all the problems that go along with them. Women who get sperm donors pretty much don't want to be held down but want the reward of being with a guy: his child.

I am an honest 5'5", and the shortest man that is acceptable is 5'9", and typically women choose men at least 6'. Nevermind that I am in great sport form, have musical talent, and scored 99.9%-ile on my ACT test, and am considered "cute", my hieght makes my sperm market value be too low.

Of course, if a woman were interested in having a daughter, being cute and short would be an asset (and with technology, such sex selection can be done.)

There is a difference, which should be rather obvious. An attractive woman can, for the most part, get any guy to marry her and have kids with her. She doesn't need to resort to a sperm donor. It's as simple as that. On the other hand, not any guy can just f*ck any attractive woman of his choice, which is why prostitution is the oldest profession in the world and why it will continue to flourish for as long as the earth continues to exist.

To play the field you should compare a atractive woman with a rich or famous guy. for example, a super hot woman can have a high value man, so she doesn't need a sperm donor of any sort, and in the same way, a super rich or famous guy can have sex with many hot women.

Right, it should be said as long as a woman's attractive, she doesn't need to resort to a sperm donor, and as long as a man's wealthy, famous, a player, etc., he for the most part, doesn't need to resort to a prostitute. That's what I was trying to say.
