Relationships don't last without moments of disrespect.
They're like an ECG, up and down, down and up.

When you start enforcing your boundaries, you'll likely end up alone. You won't be disrespected, but you'll be alone. You might be seen as attractive, but still alone.

So what is a relationship? It's a constant balancing act of mutual disrespect, recalibration, and rebuilding. (Kintsugi)

When someone disrespects you and realizes it, you're simply showing them not to do it again. From that point, they respect you more, and a new version of the relationship begins. The more this happens, the stronger the bond becomes, because of the renewed effort each time. But how much are you willing to tolerate?

LTR's often exist not because of harmony, but because over time, disrespect led to growth, refinement, and deeper understanding, through sacrifice, investment, and rebuilding. On the other hand, many strong, independent people remain alone, not because they're unworthy of love, but because they never allowed a relationship to grow through those imperfections.

If you want a lasting connection, mutual support, and deep understanding, then facing those moments, disrespect and all, and working through them, is what keeps love alive. Minimal disrespect is ideal, sure. But walking away just to prove you're strong? That doesn’t build lasting relationships.

That doesn’t build lasting relationships.
Not with the woman who disrespected you. But with another one who is phycological healthy and respects you, it will.

It’s possible to find someone who values you and communicates well. I think it’s important to learn from past experiences, though. Sometimes, those moments of disrespect teach us what we truly want and need in a partner.
