"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Hey, sorry to clutter the boards with fluff, but I have a bad situation and I need guidance.

A girl that I have been working on for a while has apparently been really into me for a long time now. I missed the IL sings, probably cause I'm an idiot, but w/e. Well, tonight (cinco de Mayo) I planned on taking her out and telling her I was into her, making a move etc. Anyways, she got caught by her mom trying to get out of the house. Then her mom came out and asked me If I was trying to sneak her out (I was freaking sitting outside of the house!) I said I was just waiting for some friends, but it was mondo obvious that I was waiting for her. I'm not sure if she is gonna get in trouble but I feel terrible all the same.

1.) how should I deal with this? Apologize for getting her in trouble?

2.) is this gonna lower her IL in me?

3.) tommorow is prom. Is this a bad time to make a move on her, seeing as how I just got her caught?

I'm sorry again, but I feel real bad about this and am truly at a loss as to what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't start on me with the "you're an idiot for sneaking out" routine, this **** scared me straight. No more late night shenanigans for me.

God damn...I feel bad. Did I just Fvck up all that I had going for me?

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

I'm assuming you're in high school.

If so...

1.) You didn't get her in trouble--she got caught sneaking out by her mom. Just something to laugh about later with her.

2.) Her getting in trouble? No.

3.) I wouldn't worry about it.

thank you. I'm beginning to see it wasn't such a terrible occurance, but I was just in shock from having her mom walk out and blatantly ask me if I was trying to sneak her out, and me going "duh..."

Well, heres hoping *crosses fingers*

Rule #1: NEVER LIE! If you get busted by her parents you fess up. They will respect you more. Remember this always; They were your age once, they did the same things, they know what you are thinking/doing! If you had told her mom, "Yeah, I was, I wanted to spend some time with her." You probably would have gotten a different reaction. But because you lied they have lost respect for you. What parent wants their daughter to be with a guy they do not respect?

Will the girl be mad at you? I highly doubt it, she was as much at fault as you were, she could have said "no". Personally I'd just laugh about it with her, "I can't believe we got caught! hahaha" But what you really need to do is apologize to her mother for lieing to her. If you really want to be with this girl then you need her parents approval especially in your age group. Without that approval the struggle of getting together will just break you apart.

good call. I wasn't sure if I should have her say that she was going to hang out with me until my friends showed up (believable, but still a lie) or just go tell her mom. I think I'll ask her if her mom cares.

Her mom seems like the kind of person who did wild things as a kid, she might not even care. Unknown to me, she has been caught places she wasn't supposed to be before, so her mom might not even be that sketched about it.

Ugh, my luck is amazing!

Dude, don't ask if she cares, just apologize for lieing! That's take a lot of balls, especially for a person your age, and she will respect that. Just call your girl house when she's not home and ask to speak to her mom, or go over there when your girl isn't home. Then say, "I am really sorry for lieing to you. I was afraid you might not let us see each other if I was trying to sneak her out of the house. But now I realize that lieing was far worse an offence then sneaking her out in the first place. I'm really sorry." Saying something similar to that will show her that maybe you're the right person for her daughter. And don't read what I said here, it will sound ingenuine.

And on another note, DO NOT tell your girl that you are apologizing. Once you have, ask her mom not to tell her, cause this will make you look like a wuss to your girl. Later on if she finds out she may think it's sweet, but right now she'll think you're a wuss.
