"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

I had talked to Superchill earlier today and we had discussed a little and he told me that although I seemed like I had game my sticking point was that I was nervous when I approached...
I had just got off the Skytrain from Surrey and arrived at Broadway Station in Vancouver. i walked downstairs and as I did I saw my bus leave. I walk toward the bus stop but remembered I had to get something from Shoppers Drug Mart which was located in front of the bus stop. I walked out and hid under the roof of the shopper's drug mart to avoid the rain.
I looked around and saw a girl.
In a voice tone similar to Mystery's I asked her "How often does the bus come?"
she didn't hear me because she was listening to her iPod
once I said it again and her attention was mine.
"Oh hi. um... i don't know" and walked to the bus stop pole to check the times.
There was no schedule time for the #9 bus.
then there was some random fluff talk:
Limerick: I could have sworn i saw it come like 2 minutes ago
HB7: lol well I was here for like 5 minutes and I didn't see it, are you sure it wasn't the B-Line bus?
Limerick: I'm sure I saw it, either you were listening to your music too loud and just missed it or im seeing things
HB7: lol you're probably seeing things. :)
***SILENCE for 10 seconds***
At first I had geniunely wanted to know when the bus was coming but I got bored and decided to just approach.
I walked
"Hey what are u listening to?"
"Oh, Hip Hop n stuff"
"Oh really? Who do you like?"
"Anything. What do you like?"
"I listen to hip hop too, like LLCoolJ and stuff. Do you listen to LLCoolJ?"
"Nope, not really I mainly have his old stuff."
"Well that's the stuff I like... I got bored with hip hop these days so I decided to listen to the old songs like from

LLCoolJ, Run DMC and Eminem from way back."
"Oh that's cool."
"Do you listen to R&B as well?"
"Yep."
"Who do u like to listen to?"
"Anything."
I paused and wait for her to initiate the conversation
she said "Where are you going to?"
"Oh I'm going to my friend's house."
"Where is your house?"
"Um... I'm going to my friends house in Vancouver..."
"Yeah, I know but where is your house?"
"In Surrey"
"Oh, I'm actually moving tomorrow"
"Oh really? To Surrey?"
"No, Kitsilano"
"Oh, that sucks"
"Why?"
"Because Vancouver is way better." :)
"Huh? Kitsilano IS in vancouver... its just a part of vancouver. lol :)"
"Oh. hahaha I'm retarded. :p"
"Its okay, you're from Surrey. hahaha."
"hahaha ok."
THE BUS COMES.
I sat down near the front and she seated herself beside me and we continued to just talk for another minute before getting

interrupted by a phone call...
Since my destination was only a few stops away I pulled out a pen and pad and asked for her msn
"Hey, u seem to have good taste in music. give me your msn and you can send me some music."
She diverts her attention to me and says
"Oh, sorry I don't have msn."
"You have email?"
"No. I lost the password."
"Oh, ok. can i have your phone number and we can talk a little more/hang out(i don't remember which one.)"
"No, I'm actually on the phone with my bf"
I shrugged and replied "Oh ok."
Some guy across from me was smiling and said "well you tried..." in a very weird voice. and then I was at my stop and I was about to leave. She looked at me as I walked off the bus and waved goodbye. I waved back and left.
Unlike the last approached that I had discussed with Superchill yesterday I was not as nervous. No real approach anxiety, no sweating, nothing. My body language was okay I think. I was wearing a thing blue jacket over a white AX shirt and blue jeans. My voice seemed to sound kind of like Mystery's. I think I didn't get a @close or a #close because I had like 5 minutes to build rapport n stuff and im not very good yet. I also didn't use anything c/f and any lines or anything. just talking, okay body language, and a confident voice. I will try to approach more tomorrow when I go downtown. Wish me luck guys.

Please leave constructive criticism(whether its negative or positive feedback.). no flaming.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

It's not interesting enough. You need to spice up that interaction, from what i saw, you are just an average guy, nothing special about you.

No C&F, no DHVs, but it's good that you are getting the balls to make approaches.

You have to take it up a notch though, or you will keep getting rejected. Believe me, if you ran your game right, she wouldn't give a damn is she did have a boyfriend, she'd give you her number without a second thought.

I know. I also wasn't in state and I didn't really know what to do since I've been studying mainly Group Theory. I think I was pretty good voice and body language wise though which is good right?

I went to the library to read a little more on pickup and at the seats that had outlets to
plug your laptop into I saw an average looking(6-7) Latina (or possibly Indian) girl already sitting there. She gave me eye contact as I walked toward the table. I left my computer and walked across the table to talk to her and I said "You're not a thief are you?" she said "No." So I said "can you watch my
computer while I check my email?" she replied "ok."

About 5 minutes later I walked back to her and said "Thank you." and then afterwards I
looked at her like she was a total weirdo and stuttered "So what's with all the biology
books?". She was on the phone with someone and she covered it and continued the
conversation with me. "Hold on, I'll call you back" and her attention was back on me.
I said "Are you studying Biology so you can be a doctor? Like when you were little were you
the one that would play operation by yourself and always mess up? hahaha" in kind of a
nervous voice. I was kind of sweating and I couldn't control my voice. "
"No I'm in High School and I don't like studying at home." I continued to stutter through the conversation.
The words I started pronouncing started sounding like gibberish so I said just in a clear
voice "Never mind." and went back to reading 'The Game.'

She continued talking to someone on the phone and a few minutes later she asked me.
“Am I disturbing you?” out of nowhere while I was writing this. I replied “No.” which was a very AFC thing to say, and was very boring and I tried to recover by saying “I don’t know… ask those other people. ” but I think I should have said something else.

I don't know why but I only experience major approach anxiety at the library. I experienced
the same feeling last week when I approached a Chinese girl that came to Vancouver to study
English. Why do you think I'm only getting nervous when I'm at the library? I wasn’t very nervous at the bus stop yesterday. What do you think is the difference?
