"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Well, to just update, I called her this afternoon and we just greeted each other..

Me: hey, <name>, how are ya? this is c-legs, i met you the other day...
Her: oh! heeeyy, how are you? ... i'm actually kind of busy right now, can i call you back later?
Me: oh yeah, sure sure
Her: okay, see ya
Me: later

Quick and easy. I'm not sweating it, I'll just mark it up and move on. Though she may call me back, I don't really mind either way. I need to do some more approaches these next few days.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Translate:

Her: Nice to hear from you agian, but I'm not interested though. I will give you my the lame excuse I give to other guys and you can wait for 10 years before I'm ready to settle down. I'm actually busy crying to my friend about how I don't have enough guys apporaching me.

Chickenlegs: Yeah I'm stupid enough to believe any of that bullcrap. I'm a dj not a boy toy.

Good job bro your first rejection on the phone. More power to ya

Hey thanks Blackdragon...

Espi, you're right I think she definitely sent mixed signals. She seemed interested in person. Short story, she never called back. Who cares though.

Ya know though, I'm not going to say "her loss" or anything like that. It's no one's loss, and neither of us is right or wrong. I hold nothing against anyone for anything. Perhaps she wasn't exactly what I was looking for, and me likewise not her ideal man. I don't take rejection personally.

Onwards...

Had an interesting day today

Approach #24

Noticed 2 girls sitting by themselves reading. Yes, both of them had books, and were reading.

They actually looked young, but I decided to just have some fun anyway. Just to tease them for the sake of my own enjoyment...besides that's what girls are for. I walked up and was like,

Me: hey
HB1: Hi (sort of smiling, nervously)
HB2: Hi...
<then they both continued reading again immediately>
Me: ...yeah, I just noticed you 2, and I figured I've got another 30min before my bus gets here I'd come and talk to some ppl, ya know?
HB1: oh
Me: ...I also was looking at your book, and it looks like it has lots of pictures in it, what is it, like a picture book?
HB1: no, it's actually fairy tales
Me: fairy tales? Are you serious, like there's a princess and a dragon or something? ...
HB1: (smiling) ...well, no, sort of...
Me: wait, LOL, how old are you again?
HB1: 15
Me: ...ahaha I was just joking, I didn't mean really tell me... (but I'm glad she did...oopsy, too young!)
Me: ...LOL, wow, I didn't know those books really existed (I forget what I said exactly, but just in disbelief that a 15-yr-old girl was reading fairy tales)
Me: ...is it for class or something?
HB1 and 2: nah...it's just cause we like them..
Me: oh, that's cool
<then then just go back to reading...I get the idea I'm bothering them...haha, so I keep at it, because it was just funny>
Me: so...when you go home, are you guys gonna read bed time stories at night?
HB1: LOL...no...(smiling)
Me: hahaha

... and then I just started to eat my sandwich.

Then, the girl from Approach #9 just walked up. I didn't see her at first but she was like,

Approach #25 (I'll count it as an approach, even though she actually was the one who approached me)

Her: heeyy! (seemed excited to see me)
Me: hey, what's up (for some reason I stood up to greet her, and then sat back down again...what a dork I am sometimes)
Her: what are you doing here?
Me: I guess I just keep running into you (actually, I'd seen her like 10min ago at the school library and we'd had a really small convo)
Her: yeah..

<now, I honestly forget what we talked about entirely. But I can say it was a very good-flowing conversation, very natural. She was curious about the packages I had with me (my eBay stuff), so I told her about my eBay business. And then she told me how she works at a thrift store...and I joked about her hooking me up with even cheaper stuff. She asked if I had time, and she sat down and wrote the names of some other places where I could find cheap stuff to sell. She was gonna draw directions too but I told her she could just write the names, it would be enough. She seems really friendly and wanting to help. I was like she can come and work for me, because I'm hiring (I am actually, on commission-base pay). Then we talked about school and how she found a job. And then I said something I don't usually say. I told her I'm happy for her to have found a job. I guess I was kinda trying to drop a hint of attraction, that I care. And then after that, I noticed her fooling around with her ear/earring as she talked to me. She was standing up and just looked like she was fidgeting. We made lots of great extended eye contact, and smiled a lot. She's just really friendly. And then she asked me my name again, and made sure she pronounced it exactly, and I got hers again. And then, she kind of stood around for a second or two, as if expecting me to ask her number or something...and she was just like

Her: oh well.. then I guess.. I'll probably see you around again
Me: yeah, sure, good luck with everything again
Her: (smiling wide and turning to me as she was walking away)

I don't know, but I'm not an idiot, I think this girl likes me...I just get that vibe from her. Besides, we've ran into to each other enough times. I actually should have asked for her number then. She wanted me to.

Next time I see her I'll just invite her to some icecream or something. I think this girl, regardless of what the activity would be, we'd have an endless conversation nonetheless. It seems like we just have so much to talk about each time.
---------------------------
anyway, after that I briefly joked with those 2 girls some more, and then left for my bus. Later, at the UPS store, to drop off my packages, the girl working there who helped me was...the best way to describe her would be adorable. She was fine, but cute and flirty/funny. She was flirting with me a little bit, and I joked with them about how laid back they are (the girls working there). It was cool, but nothing substantial enough to close off of. Besides, I think her mom and dad were there too (the managers looked a lot like her parents).

And thats the last time your counting a girl who apporaches you as a apporach. Make sure you count the 1 you apporach. You can get 2 points for apporaching a set of 2 girls. But remember girls who apporach you shouldn't be counted but this is your first apporach jounral. So ketp it coming.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Thanks for the encouragement Justman. Ok Black, I'll make sure I don't count those again. However, for me, I think it's important, because getting to the level where girls are approaching me is progress. As for counting a 2set as 2, nah...i'll count it as 1.

Field Report: Chickenlegs and wospers hit downtown, Thursday night

Wospers is a guy I met here in the Wingman forum. We called each other and decided to meet up somewhere. He grabbed dinner at home, I chose to eat downtown.

Basically, on Thursday nights, downtown here is packed for weekly 'bazaar' or community food market type event. There's music, dancing, and TONS of people (lots of tourists).

So, anyway, I got downtown around 7:45pm. I wandered the crowded streets a bit to just feel it out...such a cool atmosphere, I love it. I hadn't been to farmers in a while. After wandering for 10-15 min, I grabbed a sandwich from one of the side bbq grills. While I was in line, I started talking to the guy in front of me. Then I just overheard the 2 girls and a guy behind me talking, so I started talking to them too. One of the girls commented on how she has the same shoes as me (nike cortez), and we briefly joked about some stuff.

I walked off, eating my sandwich. Soon after I spotted wosper and his friend, who I'll refer to as MC. We greeted each other, and just started walking around. They mentioned wanting to go see the new Superman movie...I was like sure, let's go.

Of course, we did have the sarging agenda too. I was in a sarging mood anyway, as I am usually. We went to get tickets at the theatre. Wosper joked around with the girl behind the counter...gave her exact amount and said "you can keep the change," she laughed. Then, as we were headed upstairs, I spotted a cute girl sitting by herself on a bench. I was like, "hey, look man, there's hot one." Wospers was like, "so what's the opener?" ...and I was like, "hi." Neither of them would really go for it, so I was like "let's just go and come back later" As we got upstairs I got a phone call and said they should go ahead, I'll catch up later. I took the call, and as I ended it, I walked downstairs to approach that chick. I walked up to her...

Approach #26

Me: hey...how come you're sitting here all by yourself?
Her: (smiling) well, I'm waiting for my bf
Me: oh, really...cause I was gonna invite you to a movie later with my friends
Her: (smiling)
Me: well, you're pretty cute, I just had to tell you that
Her: (smiled and blushed, looking down) thanks...
Me: well, have a good one (walking away)
Her: thanks, bye

Then I went back upstairs into B&N bookstore to meet up with Wospers and MC. They went to the bathroom while I was grabbing a drink from Starbucks. They got back as it was getting ready...and wospers tried to open the chick behind the counter. It was actually a nice opener but didn't go as far I guess. He started a convo amongst us, asking why we thought this night was so great...and then once we had started talking/responding, he asked the chick's opinion.

I liked that. Kudos.

We had time to kill before the movie and decided to wander a bit. Then, I spotted this girl that was familiar (I'd actually approached her a while back). I was like to Wospers and MC, "hey, I know that girl..."

Approach #27

Me: hey...I know you...
Her: yeah, I know you too
Me: yeah, your name is <name>
Her: wait...how do you know my name but I don't remember where I know you from?

(and then we continued this back and forth until she remembered when I approached her once by the bus stop)

LOL. Back then I got her number and never called her, even though I'd promised to.

Her: oh ...yeah, that's where we met, I remember...you have a good memory
Me: yeah, I do
Her: well, this is my friend <friend>
Me: hi, how's it goin (shook hands with her friend)

Then the 5 of us just talked about Starbucks and random stuff about being here and whatnot. I was like,

Me: hey, you should come see Superman with us
Her: well,
Me: yeah, I don't think it's sold out yet
Her: well I don't know..

Then more talk about who they were there with, etc. I think me and the first girl were talking more then anyone else. My bad on not engaging the whole group. When we were parting, Girl1 was like,

Her: yeah, you should call me, you should still have my number
Me: LOL, I know, I never called you, I deleted your number
Her: really, you deleted it? nah..
HB2: oooohhh, lol
Me: yeah...I just ya know, but hey...give it to me again and I promise I'll call you this time
Her: that's okay, nah... <I think she felt sort of dissed>

(I pulled my phone out of my pocket and offered it to her)

Her: no, really, that's okay
Me: ...?
Her: it's okay, ya know?
Me: oh i see how it is (joking with her)
Me: ouch (as I was walking away), I feel hurt, (put my hand to my chest)...I'm gonna go cry now
Her: no really, i'm saying it's ok

I was just messing around with her but I don't know if she took it seriously or not. Whatever, I had a really good laugh. It was hilarious.

------------------------------------------

So after this we walked a bit more. It was tough finding lone girls to approach. Especially ones sitting around, because most people were moving around. I think we got there kind of late. Finally we got back to the theatre to see the movie. We walked in and then MC went to use the bathroom, and Wospers walked back out for a smoke.

And then out of the corner of my eye, I caught the glance of a cute chick I'd seen before on the bus. This chick I had really wanted to approach before but just hadn't because she was listening to her iPod. She saw me looking at her (about 15ft away). I smiled and she smiled. It was kind of neat because we'd never talked, yet from several feet away just making eye contact felt like we knew each other. She worked there, behind the counter.

Approach #28

Me: hi (smiling)
Her: hi (smiling)
Me: do you go to <school> school?
Her: yeah
Me: yeah, because I think I've seen you on the bus
Her: yeah, I've seen you on the bus too the other day
Me: yeah...well, I'm going to see Superman have you seen it?
Her: no (and said something else I forget)
Me: yeah, I heard it was good ...hey, what's your name?
Her: <name>
Me: <name>? cool. (extended my hand and shook hers) my name is c-legs
Her: c-?
Me: c-legs
Her: c-le..?
Me: c-legs...
Her: c-legs?
Me: yeah...okay, well, let me get some sour patch kids
(paid the other guy behind the counter...seems like she was just standing there)
Me: well, I guess I'll probably run into you on the bus or something
Her: yeah, it was nice meeting you

We were both smiling wide the whole time. There's 3 possibilities. She could have been nervous, or overly friendly because she works there, or maybe she likes me. I'm going to assume the third possibility and go with that. (also because she cared to really pronounce my name right)

Well, in closing, it was a nice night out. I really had a great time. I'm actually a little surprised because I was quite tired today, but just got energized being there. I think it has a lot to do with my visualizing lately on what I want the outcome of events to be. I also wanted to see Wospers to do some more approaches, but he told me it was his very first time ever to be sarging, so I think it was actually great if it was his first time. We'll definitely be hitting the streets again next week or so, and we'll do it big.
