"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

There is approach anxiety, and then there is approach anxiety.

In the first, there is a fear to approach women... indeed, out of this distancing and detaching fear, it is called 'approach' as if talking to a women were not the most natural thing to do in life. A man is in his head, and has to re-educate himself into the natural rhythms of life. Perhaps fear and anxiety are the curse of our age.

And then there is the other sort. A man now, out of a fear that he is [or will be] without woman, approaches them. Where in the first, approach anxiety hinders him from approaching, in the second it compels him to approach. The approach is strained not natural... it is approach for approaches sake, and so it is fake. More often than not, it is a waste of time.

'Approach' is really something artificial, and is perhaps only relevant to those that have approach anxiety in the first case. Once one has overcome the actual fear of 'approaching', meeting women should take on a way more calm and natural style. Indeed, one may enter a café without a second thought for meeting women, for you may have a book to read, or a post to post, or may just not be in the mood. Sa la vie.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.
