I know because I was one of them. The overthinking. The paralysis. The silent drive home kicking yourself for freezing up. Watching average guys walk away with the girl while you stood there stuck in your own head.

Does anyone have any of these, or know much about them? I can't decide which one to go with. Based on the information I have found, there seems to be some big pros and cons to each of them. So, I would like to hear of any personal experiences with them.

I do have an iPhone, which is making me lean towards AppleTV, since I can stream anything from my phone onto the TV. It just seems that Roku is a lot more flexible otherwise.

Thoughts?

Define what you want. Do you want TV? Do you want internet TV? Do you want to watch HD movies?

What are your needs first of all, and then you figure out which product and service best meets that.

Well, my last roommate had a wi-fi ready TV that had Netflix, Pandora, and YouTube apps on it. I decided to go for a nicer TV that was a little cheaper because it was not wi-fi ready, but now I would like to go with something external to use those same features.

Now that I have looked into them a little bit more, I am seeing there are additional options to consider (i.e. mirroring your iPhone to the AppleTV). I know AppleTV does not have Pandora, where Roku does, but can I simply play Pandora on my iPhone and have it come through on the AppleTV?

I have cable, so I'm not necessarily looking for straight cable from this device. I think considering my needs, any of the options would be sufficient. I am just curious if anyone here has any experiences with them to give some personal recommendations.
