My gf is totally pissing me off, and to be honest.. I can't stand being with her for another second. So I'm sending her an email tonight.

On friday she emailed me with "hey, whats going on between us?"

i replied with: "i just don't feel like im getting the time i deserve.
like i kinda go out of my way to see you and stuff or talk to you.
but you like never make an attempt to come up to me or talk to me ya know.
im not the kinda guy that is going to follow you around or try and find you constantly, so i hope that isnt what you're expecting.
i want a little give on your part."

I came back the next day and saw that she read the message, but never replied.

So I figured she just wanted to talk to me face to face about it.. cool cool.. I expected her to say something to me today, but never did. So now I'm done, I'm breaking up with her, no turning back. Here is the draft I have:

hey well i hate to do it like this
but i dont see a point in having this drag along any longer
i told you what was up and you didn't change your act
im done wasting my time

peace

I kinda want to be an *******.. but I don't want to be too much of an *******. She needs to realize it's her fault for not shaping up her act.. so yeah. What do you guys think?

Well, I got tired of waiting for you guys to reply, so I sent it as is.

Should have just told her face to face or at least over the phone. It would have dispelled any unanswered questions.

You shouldn't have sent her any email. Just ignore her and move on with your life... oh you clearly demonstrated how patient you are, while waiting for our replies.

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

I don't care what she has to say though. Or any of her unanswered questions. I could care less if I ever talk to her again.

I'm ready to start gaming other chicks.

I just wanted to do it before she did.

And I'm actually a patient person, just like I said.. I can't stand being with her any longer. I'm ready to start gaming other chicks.

Dude!

If you are going to break up with an Email you should at least go to the trouble of making a powerpoint presentation so you can go through all the reasons you are dumping her in easy to understand point form.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

What are you talking about? The message is only 4 lines long.

I kept it short and simple. Heh.

And how would I be getting oneitis by breaking up with her?

Emails are bad. Would you ask a woman out in person, or would you just email her?

Women can lie. "Oh, yeah, I never got your email! That's odd!" You'd be showing a lot more guts by doing it in person or over the phone (not voice mail either. That's the same kind of thing as email). Talking one on one makes it final.

I will admit, in my more AFC days, I did a little breakup note (a long time ago, so cut me some slack). Guess what? It was promised to get to my ex the next day. Guess what? It didn't happen, and finally, late at night, ex gives me a call, and (technically) breaks up with ME.

Yeah. Letters, email and voice mails are not good. There's too much chance of it being ignored. Too much chance of it not getting to the right person.

Either stop seeing her, and she'll hopefully get a clue if she doesn't change, OR you should do the right thing and break up with her in person. THAT'S showing guts. Anything else is seen as wimpy. Like you can't deal with her in person.

I should have done that. I keep finding CDs that are "missing" from my collection... bastard woman! My best friend thinks him and I should drop extra change and the occassional dollar into a jar until I have enough to replace what I lost in the breakup.

(music means a lot to me, btw, and none of them were crappy albums....)
