"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Week 3, a look back

Ok,

so I've only really completed weeks 1-3 and I've been repeating the same things for a while now. But I'd like to take a look back to see where I came from.

When I joined this board I was a heart-broken chump, recovering from being dumped after 11 months, from a girl who had many things I was looking for in a woman, and sometimes it didn't feel like looking elsewhere made any sense.

Anyway, shy, flighty in eye contact, I definitely had some work to do. Saying hellos was hard at first, now I'm fairly comfortable with them as long as I am forcing myself to continue saying them to everyone. I learned how to begin and keep conversations going. I've built up the confidence to ask for phone numbers and I've broken a lot of social phobias - namely I'm starting to truly not give a fig what people think. Tonight, I had my first cold approach number close and it felt great. When I came to this board I had no dreams and few ambitions - I had no perspective and I had no idea how to find purpose in life. Now I have plans and vision and it's like an aura around me that everyone can feel.

It hasn't been all success. In fact it all began with failure, and I need to keep taking risks. So many things still to learn and so many things to improve, but women can't wait long enough for me to become perfect, they're going to have to love me as is :- )

Looking back after 3 weeks, BC has been great. I'm excited to prove to myself that I can ask strangers what their number is without introduction - or with it if I'm feeling frisky. Later,

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

I'm pretty much doing the same things as you izza, but I haven't gotten any numbers yet. Right now I'm working on becoming a more social person; you know, going out to places and chitcatting with people... I am reasonably comfortable saying hi to guys and maybe making small talk with them; but I have to start talking to girls as well.. I'll keep posting here as I progress, and let's stay in touch.

Yea, it's pretty bad, I still have no rejections. But oh well, I have two numbers. Every day I'm doing more crazy fun stuff. Oh and if you're having trouble having fun picking up women and living life, check out my post (actually, some kid summarized it far better than I did later on in the post).

Good luck man, if you have to stand on a street corner and say "Excuse me, my name is X what's your phone number?" to get rejections, do it! And have fun doing it, too. You have to kick yourself in the ass so much to do BC, and I didn't even take close to the time I was supposed to!
