"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Hey guys.

So I've been seeing a few girls for around 6 months now, with one of them probably being more regular than the others, known her for 24 years, chuckle. Anyway we'll call her hb7, lovely girl, she has more of a guy style of thinking than most, but I don't forget she is still a woman. ;)

There's a young girl at my martial arts class, german and she's been there around a year, call her hb8. Get on well with her, always had it in my mind that I'd tap her at some point but was in no rush, always had plates spinning. Me and my natural buddy are always talking about girls anyway so maybe some competition anxiety set in. For the last month or so I've caught her checking me out a lot, so I say to my buddy that she was getting tapped before the year is out. Out of the blue today (or perhaps not) I get a private fb message from her saying she was drunk (yeah right) and asking me if I wanted to meet her for a coffee today. I replied that I was busy all weekend (I am) and that I'd meet her when I'm free.

Plan is this, I'll ask her for next weekend (wouldn't normally do a weekend but I'm heavy working all week) do the coffee, get some activities going, drinks for loosening then back to hers. Then I'll add her to the stable.

After planning it out, I was satisfied, yet had a slight flash of guilt concerning hb7 as she is a really good friend, probably my best girl friend.

But then I remembered I had testicles and all was well again.

My main point and question is, do any of you guys spinning plates ever get slight flashes of guilt like this? It's almost a sh!t test against yourself, hadn't had it in a while and it prompted me to raise a discussion.

Take it easy guys.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

I dont allow that to happen to myself. Sounds like you want to date hb7, but you're too much of a ***** to commit, hence the other girls and the guilt trip.

Or, you know that she wants to date you and you're just leading her on.

I never lead girls on because nothing good happens when you do. You may claim victory over one girl, but once your bad rep hits the Womens Gossip Network you'll find it progressively harder to hook up. It's ok to end a physical relationship with her wanting more and wondering "what if?". It's not ok to end a relationship with her feeling cheated and misled.

If you really dont care about hb7, then why does sleeping with hb8 matter? If you do care about hb7, why not just man up and be exclusive? If she doesnt want to be exclusive, just move on, and theres no better way than a guiltless f*** with hb8.

If I want to "test myself" I just think about whether or not my attraction to someone goes beyond physical attraction. My ideal wife is much more different than my ideal f***. As a DJ, I have to have a clear distinction between both and never deviate. Once you confuse wife material with lay material, you'll lose the emotional fortitude required to be a DJ.

Care about her, or dont. Make sure you both know it is what it is. You'll have no guilt unless the girl is too drunk, in a relationship, or too young.

If you're feeling guilty, is there something you are doing wrong?
Like TheEndofDays alluded to, is the new girl too young, or are you leading the HB7 on?

Excellent reply TheEndOfDays!

I'm not leading hb7 on, she knows I have no desire for a relationship. She 'says' she doesn't either but actions not words. However her actions tell me that she's just enjoying our arrangement same as me. I don't think it's anything to do with hb7.

Perhaps hb8 is too young, I'm 28 and she's 19. :p Maybe this is what it is, as if she took anything the wrong way then their could be an 'atmosphere' at training. Can't be arsed with that kinda drama. Maybe I'll think on this some more.

Cheers guys.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Id be careful with the 19 year old. 1), because of her age, and 2) because you train with her on a regular basis. At your age, a 19 year old is not going to offer you anything more than some fun company and a fvck. She's not a wifer. Too young.

Sounds like you think the hb7 is a potential wifer but you just arent into committing at this point. So, the only way you should feel guilty for hooking up with the hb8 is if you are banging the hb7 and she thinks you and her are exclusive.

Always remember that unless there is an expressed mutual agreement of sexual/romantic exclusivity, there is no commitment! All is fair until that agreement is made.

Thanks for replying colossus. I suspect you have hit the nail on the head along with the others. I think I do see hb7 as a wifer but am certainly not in a rush.

As for hb8, she messaged me this morning apologising for the message by saying 'that's what alcohol does to me'. (yeah right)

Think I'll just give it a miss, a lot of potential drama for little benefit.

Cheers!

:)
