Anyone here in counter intel in the military?

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

If your into terrorism and sabotaging 3rd world countries and their economy.. Go for it. The U.S. has a wealth of history on interfering in 3rd world countries politics. Have ever noticed when ever their is a disaster the U.S. just so happens to be there. It gives them an excuse to infiltrate the country and with a gun to their head create policies that are favorable to the U.S.

This is true. However sometimes, though not all the time, they were sabotaging the alternative, which would've been Soviet/Chinese Communism, Fascism, or Islamic theocracy. Personally I'd take my chances with the Americans since they did sometimes, though not all the time, force "their assh0les" to step down when they were too bad. I'm not sure the others ever did.

But I wouldn't want that on my conscious. Rightly or wrongly people get hurt doing this kind of stuff.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

How about the time when we tried sabotaging Soviet communism and occupation in Afghanistan by training "freedom fighters" who ironically would be rebranded as Taliban, attack the USA and trigger two more wars in the Middle East for the USA to fight all decades later! And with a bill of over 1 trillion dollars! I think people forget that for most of the United State's history we used to be isolationists. Even George Washington and the founding fathers said we should look inward to solve problems and not concern ourselves with other nations. And we didn't besides a few wars with England. But post WW1 and 2 we tried to control everything that didn't move to our rhythm. It doesn't matter whether we are doing it for a "greater good" it costs us a lot of money, a lot of lives and a lot of face. This isn't like WW2 when we joined to help Europe and China from nations trying to conquer them, now we are just accusing nations and invading them.

As I said, people get killed either way. But the Taliban did kick the Soviets out of there country and ended up being the catalyst for the end of the most murderous regime in history (give or take a Hitler or Mao).

Just wanted to know more about this field .
My friend is in counter-terroism for the CIA. He says it sucks, just desk work, but then again, he was only there for a couple of years. He is trying to move into diplomacy instead.
