Has anyone had any success with telling a girl how you feel? My feelings for this chick are eating me up inside and I'd like to just cut thru all the bs and just let her know how I feel. Most of the advice on this site would tell you not to tell a girl how you feel, but is this always the case? Has anyone had any success with just being forward with one's feelings? How?

Call a buddy and tell him. Don't tell her about your feelings, it won't do anything unless she has them too.

Another thing you could try is just go with the "Zan" approach and just say something like "you're kinda cute, you're my type. We should go out together you'd make a nice girlfriend" but you can't be needy AT ALL. Just go with the mentality of "i'm going somewhere in life, it'd be nice if you tag along but if not, i'm going anyway"

in my experience never tell a girl how you feel unless you know she feels the same way.

Could you expound on this a little? You say you have feeling for this girl, and these feelings are eating you up. Well, what exactly do you want to say to this girl? If it's anything like,"I really like you,and want you to be my girlfriend" or "I want us to be together" or "I want to be with you",then I wouldn't say these things to her.

But hey,you can tell her these things if you want, but more than likely, she'll just run off. There is a way to reveal how you feel to a woman, but to be "gushing" with emotion isn't the way to go.

Sure, women will tell you that they want you to open up and tell them how you feel, but they'll lose respect for you as a man if you do it in a gushing way. If you don't believe me,then go ahead and tell the girl how you feel.
That way,you can get these feeling all out,and they'll no longer be eating away at you. You'll feel better that you got your feelings out,but you'll lose the girl.

It all depends what your aim is

- If you want to get into her pants and never see her again, tell her
- If you want her to admit she loves you back and will never leave you for a 6'1 hockey player no matter what you do, don't tell her.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

Kal is right. Sit on this information until you've been with her for a long time, if you tell her at all. I know, in movies the guy shows up and pours his heart out and she's all gooey, but this ain't no movie dude. Four months ago I had a millionaire's beautiful daughter eating out of my hand only to fvck it up by telling her that I'd had strong feelings for her for eight months before we formally met. Needless to say, that was it.

Loose lips suck d!cks, unless she doesn't feel she has to (to win you). Do a search for the post on the Security/Insecurity Dynamic for absolutely concrete, scientific reasons why you keep your mouth shut.

I really, really wish I had found this site like 5 years ago.

Absolutely not. You can certainly "show" her how you feel but never start gushing out feelings in conversation, ever. You don't want to give away all your mystery, some things are better kept to yourself because the minute she feels like she's your one and only option, everything starts going south.

As an example, if you feel like showing her some affection, just grab her and kiss her, don't say anything. You can really spoil things by verbalizing all your feelings, make her wonder when you might surprise her with something like that again.

The ways most men let themselves feel for a girl end up being so overblown and awkward. Men start feeling so many strong feelings for a girl, when the girl didn't do much to deserve all the praise.

Wanting to verbalize your emotional feelings for a girl usually means that you feel more strongly for her than you should. Why? Because your emotions have taken over and you feel the need to let them come out like mentos in a coke bottle.

I have told a girl how I feel 3 times in my life, twice in high school and once now out here in the real world and it has NEVER worked out in the end.

In high school I started talking to these girls and we would hit it off nicely. It wasn't until I wanted them to be my girlfriend that I would TELL THEM HOW I FEEL and it would all get messed up.

The other event happened recently and I held off for so long on telling this girl how I felt. She told me everyday that she really liked me a lot and would go out of her way to hang out with me. We would have sex all the time but after awhile she started complaining that I wasn't more open with her. I eventually told her how she made feel and that I loved her and now it hasn't been the same. She's more colder and we haven't had sex in awhile.

I don't know your whole story but I would hold off on telling this girl how you feel. It will get you no where and will give her all the control. This last girl taught me that. From now on I am planning to let my actions speak for me. Remember that saying "Actions speak louder than words"

Dont tell a girl your feelings... Right away. If you have been with a girl for a few months you could say some of your feelings. Dont go over board and look like a psycho confessing your love.

Or.. the best way to let a girl know you like her is through your actions.

well, it also depends on what you say. I'm assuming your gonna tell her that you "really like her" or (god forbid) that you "love" her. If that's the case don't do it til she says it to you.

I'll give an example: Been talking to this girl that I'm most likely gonna date shortly. She tells me that she hates when guys don't like her (I haven't told her I liked her yet, but she's always telling me I'm awesome, amazing, etc), so I say to her I'm sure I'll like her. This went over well, she started talking like we were already dating and stuff. Now I'm sure she would have been creeped out if I just came out and said it.
