"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Mine is next week and I don't know what to expect. Is it it something worthwhile to go to?

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Mine was a few months ago. I had planned to go, and I emailed about 10 people I knew well, and I just got such a bad vibe, I decided not to go. Plus I am a thousand miles a way, wasn't worth it.

I had a few close friends in high school, frankly the ONLY reason for me to go would have been to make business contacts. Perhps you should consider it for that reason alone.

Peace

Mine was a year ago. I skipped mine, the last thing I wanted to do, since I'm trying to improve my life is to relive four miserable years. No thanks.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Went to mine and it was fun. If it's local, go. Nobody remembers what you used to be like and it's a chance to meet plenty of people.

As it happens, a lot of people knew me in high school, so that might have made it easier. But the women were much more available this time around.

my ten year is supposed to be this summer. i keep in touch with a few people from high school, and my cousin was in student government, so i figured i'd hear something about it, but i have yet to hear anything.

for some strange reason i'm really looking forward to it. i had a pretty anonymous existence back then. didn't get beat up or made fun of (well, not that much, at least), but i wasn't popular at all. it's not like i want to go back to "show up" my classmates, i find that to be pretty cliched and childish. one of my friends is all about that, though. and i'm single, so i don't have some hot chick to show off. i don't want to "catch up" with anyone, either. i guess i'm just curious or something. no matter what, i think it'll be interesting.

plus, i'm in much better shape (not just physically, but socially, mentally, etc.) all around now, and really, i doubt anyone i don't keep in touch with will even recognize me.

everyone i know just expects me to be the type of person to blow it off, though. i'm actually suprised that i want to go.
