She made 3 appearances on the cover of the SI Swimsuit Issue (1970, 1975, and 1983) and then there were other years where she was in the Swimsuit Issue but not on the cover. It's impressive that in 1983, she was 35 years old and still good enough for the cover when that actually meant something. The SI Swimsuit Issue hasn't been relevant since about 2000. Tiegs didn't have a child until 1991, when she was nearly 44 years old. Tiegs has been married 4 times and divorced 4 times. The difference between someone like Tiegs and the Instagram chicks of the 2010s and beyond is getting married and divorced. Millennial Instagram models didn't bother to get married and just rode the carousel.
Following Tiegs' 1983 appearance, Paulina Porizkova was on the cover in 1984 and 1985, at the ages of 18 and 19 when the pictures were taken. Porizkova would later complain about not being able to get dates using Hinge in 2020-2021 as a 55-56 year old.
