Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

I'm just curious to see if anybody else on SS is taking psych meds. I know a lot of people came to this forum for confidence, anxiety, or depression issues involving females, and sometimes it reaches the point where professional help and a course of meds are advised. If so, have they helped you? What are you taking? How much? For how long? Have they possibly made things worse? Would you recommend meds to other people with similar issues?

Personally, I am on three different medications right now: Mirtazipine (Remeron) 30 mg for depression, Cloneazepam (Klonopin) .25 mg (I have been tapering off for weeks now from 2 mg), and Zopaclone (Imovane) 7.5 mg for insomnia. To be completely honest, only the antidepressant, Mirtazipine, has been slightly helpful. It gives me less generalized anxiety, social anxiety, and improves my mood slightly. I have been on about 5 different antidepressants over the past few years, mostly SSRIs like Lexapro or Cipralex, and, although they have helped some anxiety issues before, I feel I am now dependent on them.

I started taking Cloneazepam at the beginning of this year... it worked great for about two weeks, making me more socially-confident then ever, until I built up a tolerance to it and became dependent on it. Personally, I would NEVER recommend anyone to take benzos for more than 2 or 3 weeks... After that you will become dependent on it, the withdrawals will be terrible, and it may even change your personality or make things worse. For me, they made my alcoholism worse (benzos and alcohol act on the same neurotransmitter, GABA), made me extremely irritable, aggressive, angry, and dis-inhibited, and probably made me more depressed. After all, benzos are CNS depressants. Come to think of it, much of my family has told me how much of a personality change they've noticed in me ever since I started taking the benzo. Weeks after tapering myself off, many people told me they noticed a positive change in me. So, in short, DON't take benzos.

As for the sleeping pill, I don't really need it, but the doctor gave it to me anyway. I'd rather not take it, but I've become dependent on it, as I have been on it for over half a year now, and cannot sleep without it.

Overall, I would rather not be taking ANY psych meds whatsoever. I will probably talk to my shrink soon about coming off all the meds.

Anybody else have experience with meds?

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Dude, get off all that ****. Read up on them - they are all poison. Plus, if you get a record with a shrink, thanks to centralized Obamacare, you won't be allowed to own a gun. You need to try juicing, fasting and detoxifying your liver and phase all that out. God's honest truth is that illegal drugs like Marijuana, Cocaine and even Heroin are FAR LESS dangerous and kill FAR LESS people than Prescription Painkillers alone, never mind Prescription drugs - which kill an estimated 100,000 Americans per YEAR. Whitney Houston. Heath Leger. Star after star die young from these drugs that are NOT NEEDED WHATSOEVER. Meanwhile, while NOBODY has EVER DIED FROM MARIJUANA we have this huge percentage of the population (brainwashed by those who were brainwashed by the Reefer Madness campaign of the 1930's designed to make HEMP illegal because it competes with Oil, Cotton, Corn, Wheat and many other cash crops) with this well-to-do attitude that "if it's legal it's good, and if it's illegal, it's bad". And they have the nerve to say "I don't use drugs"!!!. Follow the money. The War on Drugs is a fraud and so is Big Pharma! Watch "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" on Netflix.

I recommend the following:

1) Ideally buy a Water Distiller but at least drink, wash food with and cook/make coffee with Reverse Osmosis Water (.30 a gallon at the Supermarket - use BPA-free 5 gallon jugs and clean them with vinegar between fills).
2) Fresh squeezed Grapefruit first thing in the morning on an empty stomach - this is the key to lean abs. Grapefruit juice doesn't trigger stomach acid so the enzymes make it into the lower gut and clean out all the slime.
3) Raw Apple Cider Vinegar (add it to everything you eat, marinate meat with it, add it to the bath, use it on your cat for fleas or for after shave (the smell evaporates)).
4) Zand Detox Kit (Milk Thistle, Cascara Sagrada an Psyllium).
5) Bentonite Clay (Sonne's No. something).
6) Organic Spirulina (or Barley Grass - something green).

Then, make fresh salsa regularly (Fresh tomato, onion, pepper (2 kinds of all 3), garlic, cilantro, lime, cayenne, cumin, coriander, olive oil and vinegar - ALL RAW SUPERFOODS). Add Avocado and sea salt for Guacamole.

Also, stop poisoning yourself. No pasteurized dairy. No wheat gluten (it's everywhere - only Green's beer is Gluten free). No diet products - nothing with Aspartame. Nothing microwaved. Nothing that touched plastic (scrape off the shine on cheese, etc). NOTHING SCENTED - No artificial soap, detergent or perfume - only natural essential oils and aluminum-free deodorant (use extra because it's not as strong).

These are things I do anyway even though I don't need pills. That's how you stay healthy until you are 21*2 and beyond, without ever getting sick once (and trust me, your career is hard enough without being sick). I didn't figure it out until age 28.

No more keyboard jockeying . Action is the place.
Prescription drugs are far worse than weed, cocaine etc. They actually give you a chemical.imbalance in your brain in the long term. Messing with your chemicals in your brain is far worse than making your heart beat faster via cocaine. Obviously all drugs are ****ty for you it's just a comparison. What Neil said, just because ifs legal doesn't mean it's good. Look at alcohol, people fall into depression, kill other people or kill themselves over it. Get your head out of your ass
