any way to completely clear porn off your computer

ummm, clear your cache in internet explorer / firefox and peopel won't know that you were looking at shemale porn.

but i suspect you are giving your computer to someone and want to make sure that all the porn is removed so that when their son clicks on the mickey mouse icon it doesn't open a video of a midget inserting his head all the way into a milfs vagina.

in that scenario the only thing you can do is manually delete all the porn files you know of. then re-instal the OS - this should wipe out any underlying programs that could potentiall launch pornographic material.

I bet he was looking at porn at work. If you are networked which im 100% sure you are if you are at work then you can clear your history and cache all you want but it wont matter. If your work has any type of IT department that isnt run by retards, then they already know.

Tracks Eraser Pro if you don't want to lose your other data. If you want to wipe everything reformat. Tracks Eraser runs over the deleted file with up to 10 blanks so police recovery programs cant find it.

You have two issues. First, the record of data you've been requesting is not restricted to your PC, it's spread across servers and routers all over the place.

Second, the data that is still on your PC.

The first issue you have pretty much no control over. The second issue you do. The only way to be sure no one can read your history off your disk is to completely destroy it physically, like melting the platters with a torch. To be ALOMST sure no one can recover data, you can use a whole disk erasure tool like DBAN to wipe out the data without destroying the disk.

Those are the only methods *I* would trust.

Getting less secure than that, you can use various secure erase tools.


EDIT:

A lot of it boils down to the level and nature of the "threat". If you want to hide your porn collection from your mom that's one thing. GF is something else, and so on.

Backup all information you want to keep on an external drive. Reformat your hard drive and reload it with the o/s of your choice. Replace data from external drive.

Download Google desktop. Give it a day of idle time to sit and find all the crap on your computer. Delete your internet browser history cache, cookies, temp files, saved passwords, everything.

Use google desktop and run a search on all those crazy sites you visited. Search keywords like t!ts, azz, puzzy, and crap like that, also search for sites that you visited. Find the location of your results and delete those from the folder manually.

Lastly, download Ad Aware SE (it's free) and run a search on your computer for crap that sites leave when you visit them. After that search is complete delete those files also.

This should leave your computer pretty damn clean.

Delete the files from your computer (and recycling bin). Download "Restoration" http://www.snapfiles.com/get/restoration.html. Choose the "Delete Completely" option from the "Others" menu. This will make sure no software can recover the deleted files.
