okay apart from morning cardio for 30 minutes b4 breakfast, i want to do some additional cardio to lose the bodyfat quickly. I go weights x3 a week (mon, wed, fri) using the 'starting up plan'. Anyway i'm thinking a 30 minute jog after a weights session will further help cardio, and on an day i dont go weights i'll just do an afternoon jog. So that around 1 hour of cardo for x6 a week, with 3 right after weights.

i'm sure this will cut down the bodyfat, however, this will probably lead me to lose muscle mass? if i want to stop this from happening do i just eat really lean and healthy? while maintaining the reps, sets and weights i do at the moment?

you have asked this question before and there are many similar threads.

if you are losing ~1lb a week bf at your weight you're doing fine and losing any more than that will most include muscle loss as well. fat loss is a slow and steady process if you want to do it right.

increase your morning cardio sessions to 45 mins and add one extra morning session per week until you're doing that 6x a week (not squat day) OR consider adding some high intensity cardio if your conditioning is at that level.

let's go big picture for a minute -- and I agree w/ WBA that 1 lb/week is a reasonable bodyfat loss goal in the medium term. in one year that would give you 52 lbs of fat loss. in reality you'd lose less of course, b/c you'd blow things off from time to time & you'd run up against diminishing returns eventually, but even reasonable consistency could give you 30-40 lbs. of fat loss. slow & steady and all that......

It really centers around your individual hormonal levels at that time.

Your best bet would always get your Vo2 max tested at a club or a exercise physiologist.

A quick fix is using an amino based supplement before and after cardio. I.E anabolic state.
