angy ex threatens to scandalize my new prospect

My ex and I broke up 4 months ago. We were still friends and bang each other every now and then.

Recently, I found someone new and good (not yet my gf ). My ex is being jealous of me, and would have fights with me. She just recently returned some stuff that I gave her.

Now, she threatens to confront the girl. I am afraid that this new girl would be intimidated by her and might ruin the possibility of a future relationship with this new girl.

By the way, though I have told this new girl that I broke up with my ex. She still believes that I'm still attached since I am always seen together with my ex.

The setting is in a school/university.
Guys, what must I do?

Any help would be appreciated.

you have to have a sit down with the ex...

Formally next her ass and tell your prospect about it so that the ex has no room for confrontation.

thats why all the guys here suggest no contact after a break up, its for times like these.

the ex is jealous and probally thought she would have the chance at going back out. now she is pissed and will stop at nothing to get her way. nip it in the bud! when she threatens you, you go ahead and tell her to can it. you should also break the contact. its simpler than it sounds. when she says "im gonna tell jenny about you and me still going at it all this time if you dont dump her" you go ahead and say " im not dumping jenny and i already told her you are a crazy loon and all my friends backed me up because they know you. it would be in your best interest to steer clear of me from the future so you dont look like a total fruit cake"

you need to tell the new gf that the old one is a crazy jealous loon and is starting rumors so she will dump you. have your buddies back you up.

no personal confrontation though.
what must i do to defuse the situation?

the girl called me and was crying. has my ex just ruined a possible future relationship?

That's beacuse she is right. You can't have your cake and eat it too. Be a man and not a boy and get rid of your ex for good. If she goes out of her way to damage your relationship, SHE IS NOT YOUR FRIEND. You are trying to find that relationship loophole where you can stll be fvck buddy with the ex without the commitment. Well it ain't going to happen buddy, grow up.

Other posters already gave you a good advice to dump your ex for good but you are still resisting.

Actually you are the one ruining your future relationship with the new girl by allowing your ex to be in the picture. This is your fault mostly.
