"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Guys,

So last Friday I go into the estate agents as I am looking to buy a flat. The hot chick estate agent takes my details and we are chatting and she is asking me about why I want to live in the area, and I'm like "I like the pubs, restaurants and cafe's" etc etc. She says "oh I am new around here I haven't had a chance to visit the pubs yet". OK I think, I didn't ask for her number then seeing as she was at work.

Today she phones and says she has got a property to show me round. So I go meet her and check it out, and were chatting and she is like "do you mind me asking why you are moving from a 2 bed to 1 bed flat" and I'm thinking I'm getting some signals here that she wants to be asked out. So I ask if she fancies going for a coffee sometime and she says yes so I give her my number and she rings my phone so I have her number.

10 minutes later I get a text like "I am sorry for giving you my number. I really shouldn't of, it could cost me my job, I felt a little put on the spot. I would really appreciate it if you wouldf delete it. Sorry."

So I reply just saying "dont worry about it", she comes back with "Thanks for being understanding, hope I can find you a flat still". I don't reply to that. Actually on seconds thoughts I should have either ignored the first text or sent something sarcastic.

So wtf was she on about?

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

She lost interest.

"Delete my number"=Do not call me.

She may have fancied you at first but at some point she changed her mind.

Using her job as an excuse ("I'll get in trouble") is lame. What woman gets in trouble for getting a phone call?

She has very low IL while yours remains high.

Hey bro she has the hots for you but she probably is feeling guilty since you’re a client... Think about it like this she is attracted, but she feels she might lose her job.

So how about if you use some Ameth tactics :p next time you go to the state agent slip her a little note saying something along the lines of; how about that coffee? And add something a little spicy (don't over do it though or you will shoot yourself in the foot)... What I would write in the little note would be "meet me at (insert coffee shop) after work that is if you think your boss will let you ;)" Don't sign it just gives it to her before you leave and be out the door before she opens it. If she gave you that many signs that she is interested as you said she did in your post she will bite the lure, and you can even speed up some process by using her guilt. Believe it or not people like doing things they think are wrong cause its exciting and it add to the drama in their life.

Well hope I was of some help bro

P.D. because you are giving her your number out of work you can also reassure her she won't lose her job :p this will put her mind sort of at ease and will still allow you to play on her guilt, hitting on your solicitor tsk tsk... Hope I don't buy any of the flats you guys had the pleasure of "viewing"...

She couldn't have lost interest based on anything he did because nothing happened yet. But for some reason she DID change her mind and I think it has a lot more to do with her than him.

Hey Amethyst

Cheers for that dude. Thing is I am not all that bothered in pursuing it as I am dating someone else, but I was chuffed that it is another one that I ask a number for :) I just found it a bit weird, she could have just said no at the time, it wouldn't have offended me. Women huh, tsk :)

Yea I know what you mean, girls are weird but that’s what’s fun about them, and I still think she wants ya. For me what she was doing was giving you some sort of test. So you have the right to be chuffed you stud you... ha ha ha.

Ha ha ha… The way I see things is a bit different from normal people it probably cause I am a risk taker, I love seeing what will happen even if you play against the odds. That being said I think if you gave it a shot your success odds would be quite high...

She was being flirty to make you buy a place from her and at the highest possible price. You called her on it and she felt on the spot to give the number. Most guys don't do that to her so she wasn't expecting it. Like already said, the job excuse is lame.

Play the odds all you want, Amethyst, but all signs point to her not being interested. Think about it. If she was REALLY interested, do you think she would have changed her mind minutes later as some sort of test? I don't think so.

She wasn't interested enough in him and used her job as an excuse. There's no way in hell a girl would pass up an opportunity to go out with someone who really grabbed her attention... She used the easy way out by texting him after the fact. She gets off the hook, guilt free.

"Wow. You want me to delete your number but STILL sell me a flat? I guess I'm just a piece of money-meat to you, huh? Tell you what: I'm not gonna buy that flat from you, but you DO owe me a beer for treating me like a piece of money-meat. How about you buy me a beer and I'll forget you ever asked me to delete your number?"
Why? Say that and I guarantee you she's going to think he's a creepy jerk and say NO to his offer. The best type of negs are the type which could go either way to make her think "does he think I'm really this or this?" Money-meat? If I was a chick, I'd think you were calling me a ho.

Just my opinion but this is what happened...She may have thought he was cute but that's not really relevant because the value he presented was $$$. I really have no idea what they said prior to the conversation but when she turned him down he went with it. That was your mistake pal. It's over, might as well fight for it. That getting fired thing is balogney. Chix come up with false excuses ALL THE TIME. I woulda tried laughing at her comment, tell her she makes you laugh and say let's meet up and chat. Percentages would be much higher than "money meat".

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

What Paradox said made some basic sense in that it might of been a blow off, but you are forgetting that maybe its a test, or maybe she could be scared about losing her job you never know. There are no real signs to support the argument that she lost interest (unless you count the text as an extremely vague sign but for me, it's just a **** test or she might of remembered company policy) in the post.

Tell me this can you really say she is not interested by what Disf put on his post? To me it just sounds like a bunch of IOI's.

I Respect that you disagree with me bro, but I really need to know what you're disagreeing with. Cause to tell you the truth not only is your line of argument crude, but also there is no solid evidence to back it up, you just kinda said what Paradox said and like him you did not explain why you believe this is a blow off. This site is about learning, not just about making crude statements without any factual evidence.

And as far as playing the odds, I have to tell you that more often that not, when most people would of accepted defeat I took the chance. Like I said before, if you don't play you don't win.

And as far as neg hits are concerned bro... Please oh please don't use them unless you know how they work. That example you gave was dire, it would have made her IL to skyrocket down... If I ever saw anyone say something like that in public... jesus I know I would laugh but I don’t know what I would do to the guy.

Ha ha ha... Anyway gotta dash

I don't know who your talking to but I can answer some of these.

1. Yes there were IOI but what WAS she interested in? I'll bet on Money. She's a realtor and he's her customer. You don't think she flirts with other customers? Did he game her? It sounds like the structure was geared towards sales rather than romance. Small talk won't get you far. Factoring attractive women will always have multiple offers of relations from men, she came up with an excuse she ditch him and she's his realtor...she wasn't interested. If she was excited or valued that date, she wouldn't have texted him within ten minutes.

2. The excuse she came up with was a serious one. If she said my head hurts or I dunno then that's an easy obstacle to cross. She said her job could be on the line. That puts all the pressure on HIM. If he gets pushy and jumps over that boundary he looks like a ****, not her. If a chick feels, she is willing to go against her family and society for the sake of "love". She needed more work. I think we both agree Negging her and saying she's using him for his money is suicide.

3. Of course I don't have factual evidence. The only way your going to know is if your one of her girlfriends. History repeats itself and I've seen situations like this millions of times, I've been in situations like this millions of times. Besides it's common sense women are looking for weak men to prey from.

To the guy who started this thread: Do not feel bad dude. I'm am positive other dudes have done the same thing and have been totally shut out without getting her number and are responsible for her commission check. She saw SOMETHING in you to give you her number. You know better next time. Some logic came in her brain to cancel. The guys who I've known that are the best in this game are the guys that can override obstacles. Closing your real estate agent is pretty hard. Meet the same girl at a bar or club, I guess she wouldn't flake. Forget her, move on and go after other women.

Upside, you know something... I like you :p. ha ha ha that’s what I’m talking about, something with substance.

My counter to this is that if Dysf was interested (he did say he was seeing someone) he would have nothing to lose, she was showing IOIs and from my experience I have never been hit on by my agent, but hey you never know. lets put this in another scenario, I work in a bar and if a girl asked me for my number and I didn't like her, I would not in a million years give my number (neither would the bargirls I have seen them shoot down guys like there was no tomorrow). As far as state agents are concerned having staff shaking up with your costumers is bad policy, because she could do some doggy stuff that would make the company lose money and clients.

Some places ban behavior like that, besides a state agent would not really flirt with you to sell you the property. They would give you reasons to why you should buy it.

I personally would not buy a flat I didn't like even if the state agent got on her knees sucked my ****... Property is a market where you think about the purchase a lot, you don't get commissions by flirting you get them by selling the place to someone and making them believe its perfect for them.

Anyway I think that the girl was genuinely was attracted to Dysf, and tell you the truth even if I was completely wrong and, I was in that scenario I would deploy some sort of tactic just to see what happens :p.

Ne way thanks for that bro^^,

Love

There's something you are not taking into account with your bartender example. The bartenders will flirt outright with men and try to gain rapport with them to get what they want and that is to get a big tip. Bars will always have people coming in using an excuse to mingle and pick up ass so the prospects won't ever die. A Bartender can afford to turn down someone harshly due to the fact most men will want to f*ck them and there's ten other guys eagerly waiting to chat with them.

Now let's look at Sales. A part of being a real estate agent is building a rapport with your customer that could take as long as months. This chick needs to eat, sees this guy with cash and wants to pay those bills. If this guy walks there isn't another guy behind the corner looking to buy. She'll have to cold call, place fliers follow up on crummy leads etc. Prospects in this field are hard to come by(especially now). She was willing to play ball until something came in her head. I used the same kind of flirty manipulation at my old sales job. Was it unethical? Maybe but I was rewarded for my work.

Now if you were a bartender and some ugly chick flirted with you I know you would flirt back. You got bills to pay and tips is the name of the game. If she asked for your number and had tons and tons of cash would you turn her down? Maybe but I know a lot of guys that would take a chunk out of that ugly girl's wallet regardless if she's ugly or not. They can have their fun with the hot girls and get this gross chick to pay for his sh*t.

Now we're never going to fully know what happened. I'm just going by the information I've seen in the past and presented in this case. The moral of this story is that guy shouldn't have quit right away. Defuse the objection and get her to meet. Girls will always come up with excuses, get through them.
