"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Has any one of you ever been to a club and stumbled across a woman who for some reason just seemed so special and to stand out and then you both hit it, danced together and seemed not to want to let go of each other. Then after communicating for some time, she just vanished from your life without a trace. I had such an experience in 2001 and although I had moved on with my love life I just couldn't completely forget about this woman. This week I've been able to reconnect with her on Facebook and it was quite touching as she too ssays she's missed me for all these years. Life is quite amazing. Just a little thing I thought I'd share.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Yes. I've experienced similar situations. I like to call it "The second chance at getting another crack at the one who got away" phenomenon.

Enjoy it, bro'.

Keep your wits about you and keep your feet on the ground as you proceed with her--------but still ENJOY it.

Who knows...it's possible that you two may be re-meeting each other at the "right time" this time.

I had an experience like this once. We both waited at the same bus stop go attend different high schools. We'd both chat every once in a while. She was smoking hot and I was an AFC who never had the ba11s to ask her out.

Seven years later, I meet her at the bar. Still smoking hot. I attracted her, dated her, and got to visit the inside of her :D

Well, I'm not really expecting anything out of it. She's in a relationship and I think she already has children from quite a while back. And at 35-older than me-trying to get her to have kids if she didn't have some already would not have been that easy.

She was probably in a relationship when she met you that night as well. You two were having a great time and then BAM, her conscience hit her. Now she's reconnecting with you on facebook, and the cycle starts again. Try to bed her this time.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Re:

@Master Don Juan-No, she didn't classify me as not her type. We had a great time-exchanged all sorts of romantic and even somewhat sexual emails with each other, had the same sorts of phone conversations of expressions of attraction over the phone, etc. But what one of the posters suspected was right on target. When I met her at the club she was visiting from a different city and then to my greatest surprise, a random guy whom I didn't know and who happened to be in one of my undergrad college courses at the time walked up to me one day after class and told me he was dating her and seemed to be aware of our meeting. That put me in a very difficult situation and the guy seemed to be feeling quite jealous. The fact that we were in the same class didn't help either. So she and I had a misunderstanding because of that. And then after a while, she pretty much just vanished....

You know, even if it's not for a serious relationship and no matter how much of a Don Juan you may be, there comes a time in every man's life where you meet a woman who just creates a special feeling in you that you feel like you've never felt before with any other woman you've dated longterm. It's like you both just had some unbelievable chemistry and attraction from the start and hit it quite well. And of course oh man....she had one of the biggest asses I could remember having ever seen during that period and still does. When I saw it back then I just couldn't resist. I made sure we danced together. :)

Dear Frank,
"There are more things in heaven and Earth...."I do believe in coincidence, but it happens too often....I would see this as significant and pursue her.

Re:

Thanks, Scara Mouche. I'm definitely considering your suggestion. I'm not sure what kind of relationship she may be looking for with me, given the fact that I'm getting the sense she's already in a relationship with someone and by now has at least two, grown children...although she's given me her cell phone number and personal email address. The thing too is how many men my age (33) would really consider a relationship leading to marriage with a 35 year old woman who already has children. Most men my age often end up having to look for mates a couple years younger for child-bearing purposes. I'm not saying I wouldn't give her equal consideration if it came to that but it's not an easy scenario.

Re:

@Sam Spade: I really have nothing to say to you. There's always got to be at least one person who writes offensively and takes it personal with posters no matter what the case may be. I don't agree with your interpretation and I think it's completely off, but I'm not going to join you along your path of negativity. Think what you want, I have nothing to say to you.
