"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

This is the text from another thread, but I want to make a new thread for it so as not to mess the previous thread up (it's the Confession: thread). This is what was wrote:

Dark Haired Alpha
OK, I have to tell someone and I don't want it to be my mom because I would feel like a complete pvssy.

There is an alpha in our class. He's the dominant one, the powerful personality type and I envy him. Actually, I rarely envy anyone, but I do envy him and it decreases my self-esteem and the ability to enjoy myself when he's around (which becomes a problem when he's in my class). I feel like a hater.

I noticed this thread is not going to be "therapy", but someone with similar experince, please help.

Damn, I feel like a wimp by writing this:down:

Dont let it get to you. Don't try to become him. Just be yourself. He is in your class... so what? He isn't around 24/7!

If he is such a good alpha, then learn from him! Learn what he does right and what he does wrong! Remember, you're not gonna be in the class forever!
Dark Haired Alpha
No he isn't around 24/7, but the problem is I can't get him out of my life, which is enough. The another problem is that he hates me as well, probably because the girl he wants doesn't only like him, but likes me too. I know this sounds like I should be glad, but fvck it hurts and I don't know why.
Thanks in advance for your input

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

I've had alphas pull crap like this all my life. It's especially hard when you're in high school.

Later in life, this won't be as much of a problem for you. I had one in particular cause me problems awhile back at a bar that I was a regular at. He made my life so hard that I just invariably ended up not going to the bar anymore.

It literally felt like I was in high school again, he was so immature about it.

I know that sounds like the wimp way out, but the guy was a druggie and started telling a whole lot of bullsh*t lies about me to other people, and succeeded in turning quite a few people against me.

But the lessen I got at the ripe old age of 33 was, this guy really wasn't an alpha at all, just a loser who acted like a girl and gossiped about me to bring me down and build himself up.

True Alpha's don't behave like that.

Don't be the hater. You know why? Because this Alpha you're complaining about - you said he hates your guts.

That's good. Let him hate yer guts kid. Just keep on doing what yer doing, because you're obviously doing something right if he's so bothered by little ol' you that he needs to hate on you.

You know why he hates you? Because you're a threat to him and he knows it. Let him self destruct. Keep going after the girl, and other girls.

Maybe he's not as alpha as you think he is.

Well i've learned to show respect to men who have more than I do.Be it money, women, freinds or whatever ..not even try to get close to them. But I let them know that I respect them and i see them doing there thing.

I show love instead of hate.

Now usually guys like that don't sh!t on other men cuz they don't have to.

So that's why they're called alpha's.

But sometimes alot of guys(especially short guys I don't know what it is with these guys) want to talk sh!t behind your back and make jokes then pass it off as you not being social to them(aka "Dude why are you uptight"?) cuz they are afraid of you.

Then I can't blame them when they plex on men like that. It's happens to me so I imagine they view most men as possible enemies and they just act like that off-instinct now.

Alphas don't hate on other dudes. At least they shouldn't.

That's the thing. Some dudes who may seem Alpha are in fact, not Alpha, but think they are. When a guy who he percieves as better, stronger etc. than him is around, then he hates on him.

A true Alpha wouldn't even think about who's better or stronger than him, no matter who was around, but if he does encounter him, the proper order of things would be for the two Alphas to get along.

All my good friends are on equal footing to me.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

I called him alpha because he seems to have very good success with girls. But he doesn't have all those qualities of a perfect alpha.

If he hates on you then, no he is not Alpha, I don't care how well he does with the ladies.

He's threatened and scared of you. He's scared you might take away a girl or two off him.

Keep that in mind everytime you deal with him. Get up in his face, but do it as an amiable, good guy, and watch him blow a gasket. Don't pay attention to the background noise, chances are if he hates you enough, he'll lose it and make a complete ass out of himself.

There's no such thing as two alpha's in one group,DJ.They're has to be a leader or a follower.

If you're circle of freinds are consideres alphas' then most likley you guys fight and get back together alot or there's a tension among you sometimes?

I've been around alpha's all my life and I can tell you they don't like emulators.(I'm in that other category..lol)They don't hate them..but they damn sure don't want them around. They seek and find alpha-emulators to crush.

They tend to look down on beta's though...they just don't care for them either way.If they step up they will get swatted away with extreme prejudice.

They like having guys like me around and often click with other alphas for short periods of time.Like I said they eventually bump heads so much they stop fawking with eachother all together.

They are strong types(physically and mentally) and naturally competetive.

They don't hate but they don't neccesarily back down either.

I don't think alphas care for women at all. They do crave sex & love the attention, but I don't think they care at all about women.Infact most of them focus on being better than other males so much seem damn near asexual.

I agree though if he's hating on others without reason he's emulating Alpha behavior not actually an alpha male.

You might be an emulator yourself though,thread-starter.

If you don't want to look like a wimp, you would need to step up to him. Have balls. This is an alpha trait. I had a bully mess with me in HS. Eventually I got fed up with his crap and I punched him in the jaw in class. We both got in-school suspention. I don't reccomend doing what I have did, but you still can AMOG him with words.

Learn what he does. Observe him like a hawk. Notices how he deals with different situations.

LEARN FROM HIM!

Then you can test him and put him in other situations. Then observe how he REACTS.

Put him in situations that YOU don't know how to deal with. For example, if you don't know what to do when another guy tries to take your girls, you could try to take his girls away from him and then see how he deals with it.

Don't HATE the guy, LEARN FROM HIM!

Then Make a Thread and tell us what you learned from him.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

That's right, learn from him.

There are plenty of guys ou tthere who could be considered to be more alpha than you are at the present moment. So what?

You're not gaining anything by getting pissy. Try to focus on your building your own potential. See what he does that you want, and try to improve yourself. Use him as a way to improve yourself.

Learn from him? Are you guys serious? What type of advice are you giving?

Learn from a lying druggie who acts like an ******* to this guy? Why? Because he can pull tail a little bit better..

You guys are killing me.

The truth of the matter is that what happens in the highschool classroom is completely different from the real world. In the vaccum created by no real goal orientation, a social hierarchy is established as the guys on the top push other guys down. The interesting thing is that guys at the very top don't put down anyone. They are naturally cool. But the guys trying to emulate them, prove their worth by pushing others beneath them.

YOU DONT WANT TO EMULATE THESE GUYS. THEIR ACTIONS ARE COMPLETELY BASED ON A NEED FOR VALIDATION FROM OTHERS.

With all of that being said. Please read a recent post on mine, it should illuminate some matters on this subject:
The Road Less Traveled
