amsterdam 1/05-1/15

I'll be in Amsterdam from Jan 5th until the 15th. I've got a budget of around 150-200 euro's a day... enough to get into some serious trouble. Not only that, but my dentist just gave me 24 hydrocodones (well, he forgot to not check the "no refills", so I made a check of my own on "1 refill"... original quantity was for 12). I had 3 to test them out, since I really am in pain, and I feel verrrrry laid back and mellow. I can only imagine how it'll feel with a few bowls and a Heineken or three. So, I can legally transport those along with me... not to mention, I got 8 pills of Viagra from my dermatologist. I'm only 21, but I wanted to experiment... I told him that my girlfriend was moving in a week, and I wanted to make the last few days we had together "extra special". It's not that I really even need them, but from what I understand the recovery period with using them is much better than without - and when I go to the Red Light District, I'll need to be able to recover as quickly as possible! Last on my list of things to get is Adderoll... I used to go to a psychiatrist that gave it to me before, when I was 15, so I don't think that will be too difficult. All in all, I've got a bundle of legal pharmaceutical goodies... This is my 5th trip to Amsterdam. Each time, I enjoy meeting people I'd never have known otherwise... and although I get around pretty well on my own, I wouldn't mind having a wing or two to show me the side of the city I don't know (which is to say, everything outside a radius of a mile or two of the RLD...)

The odd thing is, I don't ever smoke or pop any pills when I'm in the good ol' USA - it's just when I'm in Holland that that side of me comes out... here it's nothing but alcky and fun. If anyone who's from there wants to meet up, or if anyone wants to take a vacation to coincide with my own, post a reply!

Dude, you better hope the pharmacy doesn't call to verify the refill, which they probably will since no Dr. writes a refill for such a small amount.

The Dr. would most likely write the script for 24 instead of 12 x 2, and the pharmacists knows that, especially when it comes to narcotics.

At least you didn't change the 12 to 120 otherwise, you'd be locked up right now.

12 Vikes aren't worth a Felony on your record as well as jail time.

Obtaining Schedule III narcotics by fraud is a serious offense.

Plenty of online sources to legally buy Hydro's and you can probably get plenty of them in Amsterdam as well.

I can get 60 - 10/500 Hydrocodone tabs delivered to me overnight for around $170.00 - legally. (your Dr. probably wrote you 5/500's)

And if you're in that much pain, call your Dentist and ask them if they can give you something stronger (like Percodan or 10/500's) and more of them since you're going away for a while.

After the murder of Theo van Gogh by that numbskull Muslim fundamentalist, there is somer serious civil unrest and ethnic tensions in the Netherland. LMAO, reading this you make it sound like we are in the middle of the actual jihaad. Yes there is some "political" tension, and after the murder on van Gogh their was civil unrest. But everybody is living his/her normal life now and you only have to watch your ass in a debat on the topic. And the military police were in Den Haag, when 3 muslim fundamentelists threw a grenade towards some policemen. Right now things are as usual.

Ok I'm from Amsterdam and been in all the cities you've mentioned. Well forget Leiden, some nice HB's but no really cool places too hang. Utrecht I really can not elaborate on, been there 1 night was very drunk can't remember sh|t, but I hear it's nice. And Groningen indeed has a very good nightlife for a couple of reasons:
1) HB - guy ratio = 50% - 50%
2) on Thursdays it's the: " dont know you, but you seem "nice", lets Fock" mentallity.
3) if you have some DJ skills scoring HB's is more a rule then an exception.

I had some nice times there...I have to say that Thursdays are the best ones since you'll find the most HB's and they'll range from 18-26, fridays and saturdays it's more like 16-21 and these ladies don't have the student mentallity which makes my life so easy.

And Diablo if your in A'dam try to find the club Jimmy Wo it's on the
Korte Leidsedwarsstraat 18, this is by far the hottest club in the country. Inside you'll find dutch celebs and a lot of HB's. When oceans 12 was filmed, Clooney picked his entertainment for the evening in this joint. Only prob is getting in. Dress casual black and be there before 23.00 pm, some social proof in the form of a lady would help too (great way to open any HB in A'dam at night btw, just ask if they come along to Jimmy Wo, so that it is easier to get in, any real partygirl cannot help herself and say yes)

Also check out The Escape on Rembrantplein 11, best disco in town and you can have a good convo at the bars (music is not too loud)

What you say about Groningen is pretty much what I heard. The women from the North (esp. some of those Frisian girls) are quite good looking.

Re: Adam - I walked all over that city and honestly did not run into THAT many HBs. Additionally, given that the city has a 50% foreign population, it was sometimes tough to FIND a lot of native Dutch HBs. I imagine this depends on the neighborhood or club you end up going to. What's your overall opinion on the PU scene there for a non-Dutch speaker?

I'm going to give you some real good tips to meet HB's in Amsterdam, and in the Netherlands, because they are there. You only need to know how and were to meet them. Forget walking in Amsterdam or any city trying to meet HB's. What you need to do is go here in the summer, and check out all the HB's sitting in the sun in front of a cafe, sippin' there drinks. The rembrandtplein is the place to be in the summer. But still there are so much more HB's in the nightlife than in the afternoon. If you are in A'dam on a holiday forget sarging in the afternoon and go blow a joint. At night the DJ strikes for the gold.

Now you asked me what I think of the pickup scene for a non-dutch speaker. It's great to be honest. At least if you speak english, and since you can write it I assume you do. Cause even the most stupid Dutch HB can speak basic english. I actually game this way sometimes, pretending I'm english, great fun, I opened a 4-set this way with succes. At one point I told them my dutch friend taught me some words. In sort of broke dutch I told them all kind of nasty words. In the end admitting I was Dutch, they loved it! What does this say, simple as a foreigner you have a big advantage, you ARE a mystery.

Now for the places to go: Jimmy wo and Escape are great as I told before, Escape is actually opened till 7 am on fridays and saturdays and packed full I might add. I have seen the most HB 9/10's here.

The More and Mazzo are also nice clubs with a good HB population, at the Rozengracht 133 and 114.

The powerzone is a big disco in the industry area:
Daniel goedkoopstraat 1. I had a lot of very "easy" HB's there, in 1 night .

The Now&Wow in Rotterdam is also a great club packed with HB's:

I heard there are rumors of a high-speed train link that will connect A'dam with Groningen in a 50 min. train ride. Awesome.

The matrixx in Nijmegen is a great disco with some very interesting parties, I've been to one named Erotixx. That name explains itself. Been to a sort of underground hiphop/dancehall/r&b party named: the joint, not my kind of scene but my friend arranged free drinks and stuff, had some good times there.

So do you think most Dutch guys are AFC, and the women are quite pleased to be approached during the day by a PUA?

I remember approaching a few in Rotterdam and at a train station somewhere (outside of Amsterdam) and one of them got so giggly and nervous her face started twitching ;-)

Also, what are your thoughts on the observation made by ex-pats that 1)the Dutch are notoriously difficult to establish true friendships with and 2)the Dutch women tend to...get rather large...as they age (similar to American women)?

Yes, most dutch guys are AFC, most of them don't have a clue. I have come across some very impressive natural PUA's, they tend to be small in size like 5.6' and have that smooth look going on. Met two PUA's like this in two different cities. But in general the AFC is most common.

I made the observation that their are not many uptight b|tches in this country. If you say hi and ask them a question, they will always answer it. Your correct, I also believe they love to be approached by a PUA, but then again which women doesn't. Maybe you that girl in R'dam was getting wet by your smooth approach and had a hard time hiding it .

It is not difficult to make friends, atleast for me. Talk about the one universal topic men never can't get enough from: women. Notice I said "men" in that sentence, that means leave all the boys, nerds and sorority dudes (these guys are arrogant) alone.
If a guy would approach me and talk about women, I would like him from that moment. And true good friendships are never easily established. These are guys you can totally trust and rely on, I got four friends like that. Friends like that you get over a long period of time, I have known these guys more then 8 years, one all my life. But finding guys to just hang with is easily done.

Since all the fastfood joints came franchizing the Netherlands population became more overweight. But in this country many people chose their bike as means of transportation, it's part of the culture. And so in overal the observation ex-pats made is not correct, there simply are more women with "good" weight, then there are with overweight.

Thanks Sheepster. I appreciate your thoughts bro. Speaking as a foreigner, I can say I got A LOT more IOIs from Dutch girls outside of Amsterdam. However, I did read an article about some immigrant guys harassing Dutch girls at the Rotterdam train station (and getting arrested), so I think it's important for PUAs to present themselves in a respectable manner.

Have you ever been to the bars/clubs in Alkmaar? I took a train over there but was severely disappointed in the quality of girls at the bars. It seemed more of a middle-aged hang-out, and I prefer the younger lasses.

Lol I have a FB in Alkmaar who I met on my holiday in Spain, only seen her bedroom though . I guess Alkmaar "sucks".

And those guys harassing girls are most likely Morrocan immigrants, these guys come on very strong to women, they have less respect for the other sex. I think you should never come on to strong it makes you look needy, so I agree with you.

Excellent conversation.. with preparing for finals, then taking them, I forgot all about the thread. My trip is finalized, the tickets are bought, and I'll be picking my bags to leave on Jan 9th-18th. It looks like I'll need to pick up some new clothes and head to Jimmy Wo for a night or two.. as for getting in (just about anywhere), I've heard that it's best to make clear that you're an American and not a Brit? Apparently Americans are known for getting lost, and Brits for starting brawls? Any truth to this?
