Americans sunk the Kursk

It was known for a while in unofficial internet sphere, that official story about Kursk does not add up. It was known, unofficially that it was sunk.

Today for the first time, on Russian mainstream TV news, it was announced that Kursk was sunk by United States. They said U.S. sub fired at Kursk and sank it when Kursk performed manuvers and opened torpedo doors - it was on training excersices.

I must say that KGB knew it from the beginning, they are not stupid, and the fact that they chose to come out with this information now, indicates something is coming up.

That's certainly a better story than "stunning breaches of discipline, shoddy, obsolete and poorly maintained equipment," and "negligence, incompetence, and mismanagement."

I support the equipment failure with incompetence. Followed by collective suicide especially at the end ( the flash fire )

You have also to recognize that the army doesn't report these to protect the image + family memory

I'm afraid things are not as simple as this. Foreign objects were discovered among the wreck, torpedo remrants from American sub.

Kurks suffered the same fate as the HMS Sidon.

Both used HTP torpedo with questionnable quality control + expérience. HTP torpedo are made of toxic components that leak after their "expiry" and they blow up.
