From the New York Post

Just to clear up any misconceptions here; the "rollercoaster" on the cruise ship doesn't actually... coast. It's powered throughout. Ergo not a rollercoaster.

That could have been a more interesting column. She didn't really dig very deep, other than citing some newsworthy examples and rehashing the Millennial/Gen Z are stuck in adolescence thing. I was hoping for more, because I agree that American adults are awash in entertainment and leisure options but unhappy and unfulfilled. But hey, it's the Post, I'm sure there's a deeper version of this in the Paris Review or the Atlantic or something.

Previous generations grew up in a drugs and party culture.
The current laws have changed everything.

I remember when nightclubs and raves would go on until 6am in the morning.
People would dance & party all night long!
Now it's impossible to find anything that stays open past 1am.
Even worse than that is finding people willing to stay up past 1am.

Social media also changed the way people socialize.
In the past, you NEEDED to leave the house in order to meet people.
People rarely leave the house these days unless they're buying groceries or going to work.

Businesses are now adjusting to the current hermit culture by letting adults play with toys in public.
