Ron Paul got the most money from the US military and Government Employees, was he in their pocket too? Remember the hubub in 2008 when white supremacists donated to Ron Paul?

Its inevitable that some of the elite will have libertarian leanings. This guilt by
"association" is a bit much. It could also be true that Thiel is corrupted, but that does not reflect on Ron Paul.

This article makes a lot of good points. Most people believe in a safety net, but it is hard to make one that does not punish anyone who tries to get out of it. The welfare system enforces its own defeating psychology - don't try to change your life; your efforts don't matter. The chicken farmer on the last page is the antithesis of that hopelessness. I realize that sustenance agriculture is not practical for everyone, but it is a much better life than food stamps and housing vouchers.

if ALL we had to do was "consume more", dummies, we could just BURN the "excess" products, or dump them into the ocean. the "consumers", dummies, have to have VALUE that they trade for your products. In other words, they have to be able to earn REAL MONEY, which you accept in return for your goods, cause you can in turn trade that REAL MONEY for the other goods and services that you want/need. The US needs to get RID of 90+% of its military and intelligence apparatus, saving us a trillion $ just WASTED every year. then do away with ALL foreign aid and 90% of the Fed gov;'t, saving us ANOTHER trillion $ a year. Give 2 trillion a year to the bottom 100 million workers of the US, and SEE them buy stuff that other US people make. That would be $20,000 each, doubling or tripling what most of those 100 million make, letting them make some serious changes in their level of education, hope, business, etc. Stupid ****ing military LETS a million illegals a year invade the US, and STAY here, and stupid ****ing CIA didn't even know Soviet Union was in collapse, after 10 years of being unable to subdue AFhanistan, right next door to them. We did a better job, in ONE MONTH, from 5,000 miles away! Superpower, my ass! The Cia, DIA, NSA are not only worthless, they and homeland security are the new Gestapo, and very ,very dangerous to our freedoms.
