She's raking in $20k/week while these male buffoons would be lucky to earn $20k/year after taxes....

Man, I salute Amazon for knowing how to exploit idiotic males that have a white knight complex....

I support anything that accelerates the destruction of low IQ SIMPs....

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

My gramps made $30 / hour back in the 1970s working in a factory with just a high school education. But for some reason now people hate unions. Kind of pathetic how well corporate propaganda works.
Not sure about that. $30.00 an hour in the 70s would equate to 150.00 - 220.00 an hour right now. Unions were meant for good, but the only one's who benefit are the one's in the leadership. Ask a union member how he or she can support their family when the union strikes and they receive 300 a week as union support. As with most things in socialism and communism, in theory they are good, in reality, not so good. Just my own opinion from a family of union workers.

That’s what he made in the 1970s and your opinion on this is exactly why unions have been destroyed and wages in this country have gone to shvt in the last 50 years.

The horror of making an honest living…
Doubtful you are/were union, so I understand that you do not understand the politics of it. However, it's not what you think it is dude. Way off. Unions of today are not even close to the unions of our parents and grand-parents.

Never said I was Union. My grandfather was.

That’s your opinion of unions. The fact is that wages for the lower 90% of Americans have been shvt ever since people of your opinion gave their support to union busting politicians.

Different times. Go to Canada if you want pro unions areas. The largest employer these days in America are small business. No need for unions in those businesses. Unions just increase costs for end users and owners, while decreasing productivity. Need an example? Look at nearly any government agency.

The median Canadian is better off financially than the median American.

Those are low paying jobs. Most of them minimum wage or slightly above. Can’t live off those jobs. You want taxpayers to subsidize business owners.

Right. In your 5 seconds drive by observation you clearly know exactly what’s going on at that job site.

While I agree that their salaries reflect their ability to consistently grow a major corporation; Are they really worth 6 billion to a company, as opposed to 3.5 billion? At a certain point, it's just addiction. Like a heroin, gambling, sex or food addiction. This is why I believe a capped market is a better idea. Companies should only be allowed to make x amount. Once they go past that, they have major penalties, or taxes . Allowing them to only capture so much of a market, allowing competition and not monopolies.

Look at the NFL. Teams are capped, so competition is even preventing a dynasty of teams in financially better markets.
I will never throw my hat into capping anything. No less that cap coming from the government. It's an arbitrary limitation with no basis in reality.

This is one of the good unions that will prevent Amazon from enslaving their retail and warehouse workers. These companies would have everyone working 12 hours a day 7 days a week if they could.

The bad Unions are the ones like the Oil Unions that supported Joe Biden who then immediately cancelled their pipeline and put them out of work.
Or the teachers unions that want to ruin kids educations so the teachers can work from home.
The amazon union will become just like the bad unions you described. Like I noted earlier, everyone always says no one ever did "real communism." It's the same for unions, and the same story always plays out. In fact, there's already the same "type of people" behind the Amazon unionization as there's behind every other union in existence. That is not a coincidence.

Actually I can think it would be wise for companies to hire CEOs from India. You can pay them one tenth of the cost and the company would make more money for shareholders.
This doesn't work out the way you implied. Being a CEO is also about communication and networks, and no Indian ceos do not make sense in a different regional environment unless they were domestically grown.

Says the person who's never experienced a union job or union way, but claims to earn 100k a year +. Gotcha.

Ahh, the ad hominem. The median Canadian is better off than the median American. The median New Jerseyan is better off than the median Texan (or any other right to work for less state). Just a fact.

I once worked at a Macy's, a big department store. The union negotiated that lay-offs should be done by seniority, so they have to do the newest employees first. Due to this I got laid off after a year.

But the important part of the story even though I got personally screwed, is that Macy's likes to mass lay-off people in that corporate-budget-cut-for-shareholders kind of way and the only protection from that BS is the union.

Amazon reportedly has people peeing in bottles instead of being allowed to take even a 5 minute bathroom break.

An industry I see a lot of news about is Game Development, Game Developers sometimes have to work 80-100 hour weeks to release a game at the most profitable deadline for the publisher's bottom line, that's called crunch. This usually makes the game suck anyway but it's usually profitable.

Remember that it used to be possible to work a regular job and support a wife, kids, buy a house and car, plus pay for college. That was the white picket fence american dream.

Nowadays you need to become a doctor or a lawyer or an engineer to do that. But back in the day you didn't even need college supposedly.

Unions just increase costs for end users and owners, while decreasing productivity. Need an example? Look at nearly any government agency.

Who cares about productivity? Regular workers don't get paid to care about someone's bottom line.

Decrease in productivity to a company can mean the workers get breaks and have time to socialize.

You do not want to work for a company run by an Indian lol. The two times I can remember being interviewed by a Chinese store manager they made sure to imply they like to work their employees to the bone. I'm pretty sure an Indian boss would be similar.

Everytime I drive home from work I see groups of Cal Trans workers, and I usually see 1 ~ 2 guys doing all the work while the other 6 goof off....and they know they can goof off because the unions protect them....
My friend told me that's his experience working construction for the MTA. They tell you not to work so hard because they get paid more if the job takes longer.

From an employee perspective that sounds pretty good. But it sucks from the perspective of someone who wants the subway trains to run well.

No, you have multiple protections. In fact, you forgot the biggest one: you can go to another job. That is your protection. Your options is why no company can ever do that to me at least. Even if I have to go work at a retail store again, I am never lacking of ways to get out of any bad situation.

Same thing when it comes to women: I do not have to stay locked into one woman. Imagine if there were unions for men who were didn't want to be mistreated by their wives. Or even unions for women to negotiate terms with their men...oh right, that's called divorce court and marriage counseling. Not a dig on you, but the humor should not be misplaced.

Not supposedly. It was reality.

It’s cool to bash unions now because our corporate overlords push their propaganda onto us.

Everyone loves unions.. as long as it is the police union.
