Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

as i type this i'm thinking that my title may look stuck up but that's not what i mean by it. I'm just wondering what the order of importance for all these tactics is. I kno that the most important thing is being confident and fun to be around, and i also kno that being funny is a good way to convey these attributes, but is it possible to be too funny? My thought is that eventually you can get to a point where its annoying, but in my opinion, i'd much rather be with someone who is always happy and laughing then someone who is ever down and can bring your spirits down. what do you guys think? I personally find humor in just about everything so i've begun working on not getting to the aforementioned annoying point.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

My bed, your girl.
It only gets annoying if you tell the same joke over and over again, don't worry about being too funny.

depends, are you being goofy? thats bad, dont try too hard, if youre naturally just funny all the time then just do that, as long as this "too funny" doesnt come from you trying too hard

Careful with being too goofy or always being funny/witty. I read an article a long time back about dating men of different professions. One of the girls stated she dated or was married to a comedian, I can't remember which. Anywho, she said due to the fact he knew he was funny he always seemed to have a comment or a retort of some sort for everything they saw or heard.

Apparently it got on her nerves and she eventually dumped him for always trying to be funny.

As long as the humor is directed at raising your status instead of lowering it, its good. Itishe has a good point though, there are times to laugh and times to be serious. As with anything, take in moderation.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

OMG you are wayyy too funny I laughed at your post! Lol only teasing mate.

If you be funny in certain doses, it's good. But if you're funny all the time, people won't take you as seriously.

****y is more important than funny. Hence C+F, with C first. Also realize who girls tend to go out with: ****y jerks over funny nice guys.

I'm not saying being a jerk, but you better walk around like you're weighted down by your huge cojones.

bro nobody can be too funny, the problem is if ur making girls uncomfortable i doubt ur all that funny. just make sure u guys are having fun and laughing and i mean real laughs cuz some girls will sympathy/ courtasy laugh. But u know what i have found out that will make u much more funny and entertaining! i have figured out that if u find someone who looks up to you (pretty much an idiot that laughs at all ur jokes) u will get alot of practice telling jokes, and when u are with ur idiot protogue u will have extra confidence around girls and u will have an audience laughing at ur jokes. if he laughs shes guaranteed to laugh. hey man i hope that helps

I was in a similair situation for awhile.

You can be really funny all the time. That's fine. But confidence is the key. Now, my problem was that I was confident in that I know I'm a really funny, smart, cool guy. That's the kind of confidence that makes everyone want to be your friend. I have that down pat.

The difference is having that kind of confidence that makes a girl want to be with you. The things that make girls want to be your friend and the things that make them want to be your girlfriend aren't THAT different. You just have to have the confidence to approach a girl as a potential girlfriend rather than just a potential friend. Your conversation with her is centered around the fact that she's a girl, not just a person, but a woman.

Here's how I do things now. So say you meet a girl and you're doing the whole "funny guy" thing all night. If you thing she's digging you, pull her away from the group to have some time alone in there (hey, girl's name, come here. Let me ask you something). Make sure to get her number THAT NIGHT. Even if you're sure you'll see her around again, that doesn't matter. Get the number before either of you leaves (and don't wait till she's walking out the door. Get it when things are going well and you have her alone, assuming you're vibing with her).

Make sure that when you get the number she understands you want it because you will be calling in a few days to set up a date.

That's it. That's how the funny guy makes it work.

i highly doubt that anyone is "too funny" especially when dealing with girls. atleast not anyone besides a proffessional comidian.
but when dealing with girls, it's best not to focus just on being funny. you can be fun to be around and interesting without being freakin hilarious. if u act too funny all the time, girls will not take you seriously and thus make you their clown instead of their man.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

um

Sometimes being titled as the "Class Clown" can make you seem soft, or not to be taken seriously. If you're overdoing it, you'll know. But untill it's really obvious don't worry about it.
