"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

My girlfriend and I went to the movies, and she brought a friend. We saw the matinee, and I thought my $20 couldn't pay for the matinee (because I thought it was $7 each... meaning I'd need another dollar)...

So when I went to the booth with the 3 of them, I said tickets for 3, and they'd throw a dollar in. The guy gave us 2 tickets, and I got 8 dollars back (turns out matinee is $6). Then her friend paid for her ticket, and the other 2 tickets were my girlfriend and mine.

Then during that date, her friend was acting like my girlfriend's mom. She told me to quit making out with her. She wouldn't let us get popcorn together. She even put ice down my back once when she caught us making out. Of course we made out at the end of the movie, but ever since then, her friends been a ***** to me when she sees us together. She seems like she wants to ruin our relationship.

Now, I don't have to worry up her ruining it because my girlfriend's best friend, her sister, and her other friends like me.

Anyway, should I have paid? You think that was the pissed her off or was it the makeout? and what should I do about this girl? Ignore her--or try to fix the wounds but never go out with her again? I told my girlfriend she was ruining the date, and she agreed. Do I just play it off?

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

It would not be because you did not pay for her, unless shes crazy, i would only pay for myself! Gilrs have as much money as us!

This other girl is probably jelous, either because she likes oyu or cant get a guy or is scared off loosing her freind to you.

It had nothing to do with the money. She was just ****blocking you pretty much. Might have been a bit of jealousy.

I would have just payed for my own ticket also by the way.

WHAT THE FVCK WERE YOU DOING?

Shouting over, now lets get some ground rules laid down.

Women have equal rights. If a woman tells me to pay for her, I tell her thats fine, as long as she gives up her right to work and vote for the rest of her life.

Paying very occasionally is fine, as is paying more often if you are 40 and she's in college. If you are both 15, split it, always.

Paying for her friend is stupidity. I once bought a McDonalds for a girl and her friend (years ago) and realised how stupid I was and didn't do it again!

Now, why did you tolerate her bringing a friend? Dates are between two people, one male, one female, and no bloody friends! Tell her in future that you will go out mostly with just you two, but sometimes in a group (at least 4, not 2+1 - ****block!) is acceptable.

Course of action - never see that friend again, she sounds like a 15 year old battleaxe! Tell your girlfriend not to bring her along because you do not like her behaviour, and if she does come along you will not be responsible for what you say to her. Be a man about it.

Remember that there are other girls around and if she keeps bringing her friend along, end the relationship.

(Or ask for a threesome:D)
