"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

That competition thing is always been such a silly thing. If I get a sense she is rubbing it in my face, I bail!
^^^This right here. Fvck that bvll****. It's not even worth it to get mad about it. After a while you become unaffected by that crap.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

I would personally be kind of salty and would assume that she was trying to make me jealous which is childish. I feel you when you say that you lost some respect / some of the vibe with her for that. If I was interested in someone I wouldn't try to make her jealous by flirting with other girls, not after it seems like there could be a significant connection. It really sets things off on the wrong foot.

Maybe take her out still, but pay real close attention to how she acts (if she seems like she likes to play games) and if it isn't right, but bail out or f*ck her then bail out. If she is all about you and seems to have her sh*t together, then give her a real shot.

I'm with st_99 here, definitely think you're over-reacting.

First off, this was NOT a date. Both of you attending an event you had independently planned to attend is not a date. It would have been a date if you drove her there, but you didn't, so I don't see why the expectations?

Talking to her 2-3 times at the gym also has nothing to do with a date, I'm not sure where you got that idea from. Unless you invited her out to the gym, she was obviously there for other reasons than talking to you.

The issue here is not what I think about this chick though, but what YOU think. Now you're saying that you lost interest in her, she lowered her value, etc yet you started a thread about her and are thinking about inviting her out. You're clearly putting a lot more effort into this than you want to show.

Once you figure that out, here's my breakdown of your night and what I woul have done: First off, when you walk in and see her dancing with a guy, there was no need to get flustered (remember, it was not a date...). I would have either walked right on the dancefloor and give her a hug (assuming the dancing with the guy was not too physical) OR try to find another girl, even a friend, and take her on the dancefloor and make my presence felt.

Second, why were you not hitting on other girls at the party? why were you sitting on a bench by yourself? Giving her a taste of her medicine would have proved to her that you're just there to have fun and are not flustered by her attitude.
