"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Hey,

Has anyone ever heard of the theory (forgotten what it's called) to weightlifting where instead of doing alot of reps, only 3-4 are done for 1 set.

Basically, the point is to hold the rep half or fully contracted for as long as possible, and then lower. So for a lateral should raise, for example, you hold the weights to the side for as long as your muscles can take it, and then lower... rest, and try again. I've seen a few people at the gym I go to doing this, and they say that the benefit is that it fully exhausts the muscles, in a similar weight that in the military they do rifle drills (ie holding their rifles out in front of them and to the side for as long as possible)...

Has anyone ever heard of, or see the logic to this ?

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

It depends on what you're trying to do. If you want endurance, then sure, the type of workout you described would give those specific muscles endurance. It would probably work well if you're trying to get into shape for a sport or situation where you need endurance in those specific muscle groups - swimming, rock climbing, military drills, etc.

If you want size, then there are other workouts that are better.

actually if you want endurance you do more reps at a lower weight. what i think SideShow Bob is talking about is the super slow workout, where you do 3-5 reps and 2 sets as slow as you can, the weight should be heavy. that method is effective at building mucle mass.
