"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

After an exhausting semester of studying and partying (thanks to adderall) I have realized it is time for me to return to the fundamentals. After three months of wondering why my game went down the drain this semester, here is what I have (re)learned.

There are two things about the world that the alpha male (my former self) understands.

1. Everything in life is about balance.

Literally... Everything. This semester I watched my life go way out of balance. I bit off more than I could chew. Long story short, I'm double majoring in Accounting/Finance, maintain a 3.6 gpa, was interning 12 hours a week at a boutique investment bank, have a position on the Board of our school's Accounting Society, and have been maintaining a party/social life. I also went through recruitment for the Big4 Accounting Firms. Bottom line, I didn't study during the week because I was exhausted after a long day of school and interning. Then, did not lift a finger till Sunday, as I was partying Friday and Saturday. Finally Sunday, I hit the "oh ****, I really need to get to the books" realization and did homework all day Sunday and throughout the night on adderall. I had no time for women, but wanted the stress relief.

Because my zen was so out of tune, people could see the aura of chaos in my body language - A red flag for "keep the hell away from me." It is no wonder women were not gravitating towards me like they did previously.

2. DISCIPLINE - Arguably the most important characteristic for an AM

Because my life got so out of control, I lost track of discipline. My diet went to ****. I wasn't eating any **** food before the start of the semester and had a clean diet. Then I began eating pizzas, ice cream, hamburgers, fat, fat, and more fat. I let the gym slip out of my grasp and now need to get dieseled out again. My gpa will most likely be a 3.2 this semester. And I became proscribed to adderall (amphetimines) to keep my mind focused through Sunday all-nighters. I began watching porn for my stress relief and seeing women as sex puppets again. And, women can totally tell when you do this because, for lack of discipline you make it obvious you are eye ****ing them.

Solution

I am going to take my first week of winter break and relax. I will allow my body to recover from the abuse I put it through this semester.

Most importantly though, I will practice discipline again. I will not allow myself to procrastinate like this next semester. I will do homework during the week and a little on weekends. I will stay in the gym, which will keep my testosterone levels high, my body looking good, and my mind sharp. I will go back to a clean diet. I will try to refrain from adderall.

After I have accomplished these steps I know my zen will return and women will once again see that my body language is calm, composed, and strong. I will get my AM aura back.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Good self reflection. I've given it some thought myself; I moved to my own, go to school, work as a bartender downtown, and have run myself ragged over one particular girl. The stress is too much and all my other plates fell to **** because of it. Time to refocuse indeed
