"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Note: This is pretty much copied off of Contender's thread. Contender is the man and if i can achieve as much as him i will be very, very happy.

Ok so, ive been a lurker here for a while, probably about a year. Like most people here, i stumbled onto this site looking for ways to be better with women. In that year though, i havent been using this site to its full potential. Instead of using it to improve myself, ive been using it to "appear" more like a DJ. Really all i have been doing is using tricks to try to get my one-itis's to like me. And these tricks, suprisingly, have worked. In the past year, ive had three one-itis's, and ive gotten all three to like me. Awesome right?...wrong, with all three i was never able to make any moves and basically just acted like a total AFC.

It's time for a change, and thats what this journal is going to follow. If your reading this journal, thats great, show some support/criticism etc. but this journal is really for myself. I want to be able to follow my accomplishments and my faults, the good and the bad, so that i can improve.

This isnt just a typical approach journal, this is a journal following my path to a DJ.

So, first ill start with the good, what i like about myself as of now:
  1. My look: Probably about two years ago, i took a good look at myself in the mirror and realized how crappy my overall look actually was. So, i went to the mall, bought alot of clothes, and developed my own style. I take pride in my style, its kinda casual-preppy ala Abercrombie with my own personal touches thrown in. I often receive compliments on my clothes. Also, around the same time, i started taking care of my face. I cleared up my acne, plucked my unibrow, and grew my hair out. Basically i just started looking good.
  2. My athleticism: My whole life, ive been an athlete. I've never been the big star though, untill last year in swimming. I totally broke out to be one of the best on my team. I also play basketball and golf competitively, and basically love playing sports.
  3. My Intelligence: My whole life, ive managed to get by with minimal work (more on that later) and still acheive good grades. I scored strongly in the SAT's and should get into a good college next fall.

Then theres the bad though, these are the things i will be actively trying to improve throughout this journal.
  • Im lazy: Yes, im very, very lazy. As i said, i get by in school on my intelligence, because if it wasnt for my test grades, i wouldnt do so good. Im a huge procrastinator, and i only do about 50% of my homework. Ill hold off on big assignments untill the last possible moment, and then stay up all night to try to finish something i should have had done weeks ago. This isnt going to be good in college, so im going to motivate myself to improve my work ethic.
  • I could be in better shape: I let myself go during the summer. I gained alot of stupid weight because i didnt watch what i ate. On top of that, i never swam or did anything to build up endurance, only power lifted. Now swimming has started and im out of shape, fighting to get back in the groove.
  • Im shy: Well, at least with girls. With guys, im one of the most outgoing, sociable people around. With girls though, i am improving, however i am no where near where i want to be. I want to be the life of the party, and not only when im piss drunk. I want everyone to know my name, the guys all wanting to hang out with me, and the girls all wanting to be with me.
  • NO MORE ONE-ITIS: Self-explanitory, i dont want to suffer from the cruel disease called one-itis, which sucks all the DJ out of you and replaces it with AFC.

So, once again, this is not an approach journal, i dont like cold approaches, i generally dont do them. However, if the opportunity comes up, i want to be able to take advantage of it.

Ill be tracking my improvements whenever i feel like logging on, most likely not daily, but definitely more than once a week.

Im starting my improvements immediately, however im going to sleep now because im dead tired from the combo of Thanksgiving turkey and having a crazy night and barely getting any sleep.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Why do you need a confidence journal? Seems to me like you are a smart, accomplished kid. So what if you're lazy when it comes to homework. Hell, you're only in high school, I doubt that's going to affect your play on girls. Listen, you don't have to be the life of the party to get laid. Sure, you want to be well liked and talked of, but you shouldn't be trying to be the life of the party. As long as you can make people laugh, and make them feel comfortable, you will attract women (given you're not ugly). Don't sell yourself short. Get off the internet and get out there where you belong. It's time to start flirting with the girls, making them laugh, and laying them.

O believe me, i agree with what you say. I only log onto here when i have free time, away from friends and such.

Maybe confidence journal wasnt the best name for it, i was thinking that last night too. Im going to keep it updated though, because, like i said, its mostly for myself to see how i improve with girls.
Field reports will be up on this thread eventually

Anyway, since im typing i might as well update now. Since i woke up early today i logged onto these forums and was just reading some Anti-Dump. He was saying that stopping masturbation all together improves confidence. So, i figure ill try it, whats the harm? I just deleted alot of my porn (not all, still have needs haha) but eventually i want to get rid of it all.

Theres also this one-itis which has been bugging me for a while. Im going to try to just get rid of it once and for all today by making a move and seeing what happens.

Wow, i made this journal so that maybe it would motivate me to be less shy, grow some balls and ask a girl out. However, its now Saturday night and i did the same **** i always seem to do, chicken out.

This seems to be my life story
  1. Decide i want to pursue a girl
  2. Doing all my DJ stuff well
  3. Get her attracted to me
  4. Stall...and stall... and stall
  5. She loses interest

So, no matter what, next week im asking two different girls out, an HB 8.5 and an HB 7, and ill come back and post after its done.

On the other hand though, since ive started this journal, ive just been on a road of self-improvement. This thread http://www.sosuave.net/forum/showthread.php?t=112673 has helped me improve my laziness tenfold. Ive been on the ball and everyone has been noticing it. Also, my confidence is up too. Today at the mall i got approached by girls while shopping 3 different times. I didnt pursue because like i said i dont really like cold approaches, but maybe that will change as this jjournal goes on.
