Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

I met this chick on FB cause she's friends with a girl I know.

I messaged her, we chatted, had some laughs...etc. SHE suggested that we should go to dance sometime, so I got her number etc.

The next day I texted her just to ask her how was doing etc, she seemed very receptive, talkative etc, asked me questions, made some jokes etc.

Two days of radio silence...the third day I texted her to ask her out. She agreed, and seemed really excited and happy, so I called her to tell her the details (where, when etc). Again, she seemed very excited about it.

Today, 10 mins before we were suposed to meet, she texted me that she was running late cause she just came back from the beach etc... and asked me if I'd like to hang out with her friends as well (she's 30). I said that I prefered to meet her for a drink as we agreed. Then she went ghost for half an hour on whatsapp. After waiting for twenty minutes I left and went to meet some of my buddies.

She has not even bothered to text me, call me or to give me any lame excuse. THIS IS THE BIGGEST FLAKE BY FAR I'VE HAD SO FAR. This is the rudest girl I've found in my life.

WHAT DA FVCK?

Of course I have not contacted her and I guess I'm deleting her from fb etc tomorrow morning.

Really, WHAT DA FVCK?

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Good 'ol blighty.
This is nothing new dude. It's pretty common. Typical behaviour from a girl you just met.

Don't reply or say anything to her. Let her be. If she comes around and contacts you. Don't mention anything about the flake. Carry on as normal. It's maybe a shlt test or not.

The point is you should remain calm and cool. Doing NOTHING is the best response in dealing with this type of behaviour. She knows what she's doing. You are ABOVE this.

Go and meet another girl.

You missed the soft rejection.

Enthusiasm is great... when they follow through.

See if she contacts you. In the meantime, do nothing. If she does, don't come off as butt-hurt. Just try and set something up. If something similar happens, next her like nobody's business.

LOL relax bro. I once had a chick flake on me on the third date after I drove an hour and a half to see her ****ing ass

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

No you fail to see the problem. You created the flake. She probably made plans with her friends. She wanted you to meet them and you shot her down that was stupid. So when she put her friends and you on the scales the former had more weight. That told her you dont want to be a part of her life, which, no matter what your agenda is, must not show so blatantly.

First date meet friends? She also decided to change the agreement 10 min before she was to show up, isn't that a bad impression?

I saw 2 other issues, wouldn't have texted her to "chat" after I got the number, would have just called to set up date, especially with a girl who is 30.

Also wouldn't delete her off Facebook, shows you care what she thinks.

she could have cancelled it in the morning, she could have given me some lame excuse a few hours before...or she could have met me eventhough she got cold feet, but no, she had to do a super flake 10 minuts before and she did not even bothered to call me or to apologise. She just vanished.

What a crazy b-itch.

I've just had two more flakes in my life and both girls cancelled the date at least one hour before we were suposed to meet which is "basic respect" once you're going to flake.

Really, she did it the worst possible way. Oddly enough she looked quite polite, nice etc on the phone and on her fb profile...weird.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I wouldnt say she's crazy. She is what she is. Respect is more a man's thing anyway.

You shouldn't be over analyzing her action's or playing out her thoughts. Especially with a girl you haven't met yet. You wouldnt be overthinking why a cute dog hasnt chased the ball you threw it. Let it go. This is more about you than her.

Nothing rings louder in a girl's hamster's ears than silence.

Be patient man. Tease a new girl and this flake will probably look to re-connect....ON YOUR OWN TERMS.
