"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

I'm plain money after a glass or two of wine. No nerves, just smooth sailing. This past weekend i met a girl and brought her home for sex within a few hours. Neither of us were drunk. I didn't act like a jerk, i was playful and in control.

My problem is always the telephone, it makes me nervous for some reason and my heart races and I feel like my speech pattern is messed up. i feel like girls have a keen sense of when a guy is nervous and its a deal breaker. Especially given the fact that when i was with this girl before i was 100% comfortable... but the phone may very well throw me off. leaving messages is the bane of my existence.

I want a glass of wine before i call, but i wonder if this is a crutch that i need to avoid, and just take it like a man.. or if more positive experiences will lead me to eventually not need a drink. thoughts?

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Don't do it. That's taking the easy way out. Instead, TRAIN yourself to be calm WITHOUT the use of alcohol. Any a$$hole can get drunk and act like the bravest man on earth, but there is no honor in this. How many can do so when they're sober? Aim to become one of these people. Apprhach anxiety, phone anxiety, sex anxiety (and skydiving anxiety, snowboarding anxiety, fighting anxiety, etc) go away with practice. Fear is a natural part of life, but the moment your mind realizes that fear in connection with a particular action is useless (as you're concistently performing it WITHOUT getting hurt), it'll let go of it. Keep at it!! :)

I wouldn't say ONE glass of wine is taking the easy way out. One glass is not going to alter his personality/behavior to any extreme or even noticeable level. Now getting drunk or even just buzzed is a whole nother thing.

I think it is fine if you have to do it (one glass, no more) at first but just work on getting to the point were you dont need any wine.

Do twenty push-ups, then, when you catch your breath (if 20 pushups "winds" you), call.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

The effect one glass has doesn't really matter. It's the fact that you're doing it that does. By doing this, you tell your subconscious mind that YOU YOURSELF, ON YOUR OWN aren't good / strong enough to accomplish whatever it is that you're trying to do. This does some serious damage to your confidence, increases anxiety, self-consciousness, etc. Whatever benefits you gain for the hour or two when you're under the influence will be taken back from you TEN-FOLD the moment you get sober.

When in the field your gut works more, you sense, listen, act and react.YOU DON'T HAVE THE ****ING TIME TO THINK,and that's why you succeed. On t he other hand when you're gonna call you subconciously know 2 things 1.You're gonna be "forced" into speaking to this girl 2.You have alot of time to think of what to say. These two factors kick your brain back into WUSS MODE.There are ways to alleviate this problem 1.Don't think anything before you dial, just ****ing dial (so you don't have time to think before she picks it up) 2.After she picks it up don't hurry, think that you're face to face and speak like that,DON'T BE ANXIOUS TO BLABBER IT ALL OUT, IT'S BETTER TO BRAKE THE 5 MIN "RULE" AND TALK SLOWLY AND CONFIDENTLY INSTEAD OF SPEW WORDS OUT OF YOUR MOUTH TO MAKE IT IN THE 5MIN DEADLINE.

I can do it without using alcohol. When I due use alcohol, I reach a point where I hit this zone and all my punch lines just draw females in and wraps them around my world. I can say anything I want to them or have them do anything for me from that point on with no problem. Call it cheating but I call it getting some a@@.
